If one of them busted during the game, he'd go to the bathroom with another player who'd sell him chips to get back in. But, that was almost five years ago so I have no idea if the game still goes. Point is, though, there's been a PLO crowd in St. Louis area for years so I'm sure they get their action somewhere in town.
PLO is running at Harrah's in STL on the following rough schedule:

Wed: $500 max buy-in, $1/2/5 ... chances of it going - evening, 50%
Thu: $500 max buy-in, $1/2/5 ... chances of it going - evening, 75%
Fri : $500 - $2000, $1/2/5 ... chances of it going - 100% any time after 5p, usually get a main game and a must-move is possible
Sat: $500 - $2000, $5/5/5 ... chances of it going - 100% any time after 2p
Sun: $500 - $2000, $5/5/5 ... chances of it going - 100% any time after 2p

They'll spread 1-3 nlhe and 3-6 lhe as a base and they will spread anything that guests want to play. The VIP events
did not include many poker players so there was very little action Monday. We will see this weekend and in the future weeks what the action is like. They have a quality staff that will try and make sure that the room is run at the highest possible level.
This is where I'll be playing the majority of the time based on location and what I feel is a quality staff and because I can't play downtown.
I stopped in to see the new casino and play some poker just a few hours ago -- on the drive back from Tunica.

A very pretty casino and a nice little card room. Still a few kinks to work out -- lights, seating, etc. But a MUCH better opening than the Lume had downtown. Will post more details later.

played at River City on thursday, saw a lot of harrah's regs there. took home almost 1000 after 7 hrs of 1/3, not too shabby

i like it, the lighting is absolutely horrible however. other than that i have no complaints whatsoever. i am intrigued by the 1904 beer house, can't wait to hit that up after another session this weekend.. something ridiculous like 100+ beers available. wait lists weren't too bad for it being the 'grand opening' and all, though they had just opened 2 more tables of 1/3 when i got there to put my name on the list around 4

How can you say this is an improvement without seeing the new structures? Given that I doubt they have any interest in prolonging the tournaments, I can't imagine the effective play will change much if at all.

My apologies if you had advance knowledge of these details when you posted. Now that its after the 8th, can anyone post the new structures?

I can't say for certain, but having played a TON of the tournaments at Harrah's St. Louis in the past and having to spoken to Brian regarding this before, I'm betting it will be a welcome change in structure. I don't know the exact new structure, but just from past conversations with him and anecdotal reports from this week's players, I think it is better.

Been at Harrah's since Friday night, last night they were running a mix game that was one round of $2/5 NLHE and one round of $2/5 PLO that was pretty redonkulous.

As far as I know currently 1/2 nl and 2/5 nl but 2/5 usually only goes on the weekends. I can't stand 1/2 and only play at Harrahs when the 2/5 nl game is going.

The 5/10 NL game is currently played at Lumiere on Tuesday nights and most of the normal 5/10 crew play 2/5 fri and sat nights at Lumiere also. Usually 2 5/10 nl games at Lumiere on Tuesday.
When the circuit event comes to Harrahs in April I would suspect at least 1 5/10 NL game at Harrahs even though when I was in Tunica for the circuit event a while back Harrahs had just 1 5/10 nl game which surprised me but Jamie Gold and his buddy were playing and the 2 of them were just giving money away and it was great until he busted.

To further the other post, $1/2 NL will be going every day at Harrah's. No $1/3.

I would doubt it as far as 10/20 or higher b/c the biggest nl game Harrahs has is 2/5 nl. I would think they would get a 5/10 nl though during the WSOP tournament. Tunica had a 5/10 nl game and they were not very busy. I was shocked by the lack of turnout with the WSOP event they had in Tunica this year. Hopefully St. Louis will be different but it is STL's first WSOP event ever.

Lumiere always has a 5/10 nl game on Tuesday.

What's the status of limit hold 'em in St. Louis?
I haven't been there since lumiere opened.

Looking for anything between 10-20 and 30-60.

thanks!

20/40 with half kill running a full table with list on weekends at Harrah's. Can't verify but I doubt it goes during weekdays.

Just visiting St louis through the week and am looking for a room that will always have a few 1/2 or 1/3 NL games running during a week day (think noon-5ish).

I visited the new river city casino late last night but there were maybe 4 games running total (and i have no idea what game/stake).

If anyone could give a cincinnati kid a heads up about games running during the week days, I would appreciate. I love the city and will be back to play again--so, let me know!

Thanks,

Swag

Lumiere 1/3 NL game is 100 times better than Harrahs 1/2 NL. MizzouDude must be an employee of Harrahs. The Lumiere game gets going in the morning and will run until close. Good Luck.

Uh, no. I don't get down to Lumiere during the day. No idea whether it's going. But you are right, if it is going and you are in that neck of the woods (I'm not) and you want the lower stakes games (I don't), it's a lot better game.

I prefer the 1/2 5 nl game at Ameristar but usually just 1 maybe 2 games going with those stakes.

I agree any 1/2 nl game is horrible usually and would much rather play 1/3 than 1/2 just b/c I like the potential for more money or buy in available.

Yeah, like I said, I'm not familiar with Lumiere during the day, I only get down there at night. I just know that if you want to make sure a game is going, Harrah's will at least have something. Sounds like Lumiere will too.
