While the game has been a little slower the last month or so I feel like everything in STL has been a little slower. The game has been going daily but starting a little bit later. It used to start between 10-11 everyday now it goes between 12-2. Always 2-3 games on fri/sat and randomly 2 games on weekdays.

always wanted to play in this game. i havent since im elsewhere instead of st louis. i would think, since i hear its hilow instead of high this would lower the variance alot, and u wouldnt need much of a roll. $100 min buyin too is allowed not 200, so with only 10k u would have 100 buyins and never bust. doubt this is a problem

The hi/lo element in big-bet games doesn't reduce the variance significantly. It does in a fixed-limit game, not so much in pot limit.

Ameristar has not run tournaments in the last couple of months but with its sister property closing the poker room I imagine they will try to pick up a few of their more successful tournaments, hopefully the Sunday Mystery Bounty at least.

I don't live there any more, but when I've visited, the action is at Ameristar and, to a lesser extent, Hollywood, with the latter commanding most of the action just a few years back. Keep an eye on Bravo and make your plans approvingly. Good luck.

Lumiere runs at least one table of PLO every day.

Anyone here play in the Big O game at Ameristar? Is it definitely hi/lo? Wondering how big/loose/soft/tough this game plays compared to the PLO in St. Louis.

Plan on coming down to play Saturday. Is the HPO a big enough event to shift the cash games from Ameristar to Hollywood for the weekend? Thanks.

Alright, word on the street is Lumiere is also closing THEIR poker room now. Has anyone else heard this? If that's the case, the only joints in the area are Hollywood/Ameristar!

Ameristar still had the big games over the weekend. 20-40, PLO/Big O, and 2-5 ran their. 5-10 running at Ameristar on Tuesday and Thursday. Hollywood has had some 2-5 action and some PLO action during the HPO but its been sporadic.

Big O runs most days at Ameristar and PLO runs most days at Lumiere. Bravo is your best bet as the Ameristar game starts early and is sometimes PLO based on the players that show up. Lumiere game usually doesn't go until the evening.

Big O game plays almost exclusively as Hi/Low. Sporadically will switch to high only if its short and the players want to mix it up.

Its probably a lazy answer but I would check out the Bravo app. All the poker rooms are connected so you can see how many and what tables are running.

Be careful if you go to Lumiere. A woman just got her neck slit as she stumbled bleeding everywhere into the casino. There are constant muggings, assaults, and other shady activities. It's a wonder why anyone goes there at all.

Can you point to a story in the PD or anywhere online?

That's an outlier so stop trying to scare people. I've parked between Lumiere and the river plenty of times and never felt unsafe.

Park in the Lumiere garage. If you're walking out with an amount that makes you uncomfortable, ask for security to walk out with you, like anywhere else. Or, like anywhere else, just valet.
