which poker fm would you visit? lumiere amistar harrahs? $1/2 to $2/5 nl. do any have rooms and decnt rates during week? home many tables typically playing on a mond or tuesd evening? action, cleanest, safest etc.

I thought that the action in the Ameristar room was rather slow last Saturday afternoon and Friday night when I was there, at least compared to the Harrah's in KC regular Saturday afternoons.

Lumiere spreads 1-3, 2-5, and 5-10 no limit. 1-3 runs everyday all day with a $100-$300 buy-in. 2-5 run rarely but is beginning to get more interest on friday and saturday nights the buy in for that game is $200-$500. 5-10 runs every tuesday mid-afternoon and night and some friday nights with a min buy in of $1000 no max. Fri/Sat peakish hours 1-3 NL we're talking 0-10 list (with almost every table full), going up to 20-30 during super-prime hours. 3-6 can get the same at times, any other game (2-5+, stud, etc.) is usually close to full handed but almost always room

Awful news that I have not seen mentioned here, but while at Ameristar tonight I heard that Scotty Clark (posts above) shot and killed himself earlier this week. If true, I pray for his family in this tragic time.

Does anyone know if Harrahs will stay open all night on thanksgiving? I know they sometiems(always?) treat holidays like weekends and they stay open, but didn't know if they always did it or not. I plan on going there tomorrow and knowing if they will be open all night or not might affect when I want to get there.

Not 100% sure, but I am pretty sure they will. They ALWAYS treat holidays like weekends. LOL so Im guessing they will be open from 8am thursday until 4:30am monday.

Yes, the Scotty Clark who posts here is the same one that was on the TV show.

His website was updated Wednesday so I'm assuming the suicide was someone else.

I just talked to George in the poker room and he said they were open 24 hours today.
