It finally started around 9am while the first 1/2 NL game started about an hour or so afterwards. That game was filled with faces I wasn’t familiar with, so probably Hollywood players.

I personally enjoy 6 handed play. Unfortunately I ran like crap these last two days but that’s the story of my poker life! The rake is oppressive though.

Hey Greg!
Thanks. I know several Greg’s who frequent Ameristar. I’ll have to introduce myself formally once I get back to playing live. Thanks. Joe.

Glad poker is back but raising the rake when you are only allowing 6 player max feels kind of a gross thing to do. I do like the no chopping allowed thou.

Well $&@! I’m not even back in the room and already made a terrible read.

That’s a pretty funny auto-correct. Dealers choice on how you want to play it.

Today at 6pm Hollywood opens their poker room. The tables have plexiglass dividers and will seat 7 players. I went to look at them earlier today and it sure doesn’t look like you’ll have much room to yourself. Kinda like how it is when the table is 9-10 handed. Max number of tables will be 10. Unsure about rake but I bet it will be the same as ameristar, $5. Hours are the same as ameristar.

1/2 at Ameristar!!??! WTF?? I rarely played at Hollywood for that reason....hours and hours fighting over $12 pots.

Play the $2/3 instead. $100 min, $500 max. Can match up to 75% of big stack after table is open for an hour. This game needs to replace the normal $1/2 and $1/3 games in town.

Ameristar needs to get rid of that $3/6 game. This afternoon they only had 5 dealers and two games were devoted to $3/6. How can you win money playing 6 handed $3/6? Bump the limit game up to $8/16. Force the nits to invade Hollywood.

You had a typo. First sentence should read “America needs to get rid of that $3/6 game.”

Love the 75% rule, I've asked poker room managers about it many times. They always said "Nobody wants it, people don't wanna play all day long build a stack, have a new player sit down and bust them [after stack matching]"

I'm pretty sure they've been open since like July 3rd?

Saw on Bravo 14 games running last Friday between Hollywood and Ameristar. Anyone have a trip report? I feel like I’m getting close to coming back live.

Ameristar is now 8 handed as of yesterday. As just a rec. limit player I really liked the 6max tables. It’s what I used to play during the online days. But I know I was probably the only one who felt that way. It was fun while it lasted!

I now notice it says 7 handed on the ameristar bravo page. Went from 8 to 7 handed in just a day or two

I know they have chosen to keep the room closed for whatever reason. I wouldn’t be surprised if it never reopens.

They laid off their entire poker staff a few days ago. They claim it is not a permanent closure.

Amid the daily tourney schedule running at Hollywood?

Never mind - just checked the website and no tourneys running.

Supposedly with a higher tourney rake though, which is causing a raucous in the Hollywood poker group on Facebook

Can someone provide info on the status of the rooms in town. Are they open? What room has the most action? How many players per table?

Thanks, Duke

Lumiere shut down their room permanently.

Hollywood - currently open, 7 handed. Plexiglass dividers. I am hearing the casino is shutting down on Tuesday because STL County is going to 25% capacity restrictions.

Ameristar - 7 handed tables, no dividers between seats.
