I will be visiting Spokane, WA next week. I mainly a mid-limit Hold'em and Omaha player (up to 30/60 or so). Are there any games such as this in the area?

I've never seen any limit games like that in Spokane. 10/20 limit hold'em used to go frequently at northern quest, but that game has mostly been absorbed into the $2-200 spread, and the sometimes $5-500. Omaha goes frequently at quest, but you'll be looking at $3/6 w/ a kill. The smaller cardrooms throughout town will likely be spreading $2-10, 2-20, or 2-40 spread. Spokane, like much of WA, loves spread limit games.

Edit: I visit a few times a year, so I may be wrong about a few things, but I have played around and things would drastically have to change for 30-60 to be going anywhere.

This is right on. The 2-200 spread game is pretty amazing from what I remember. Definitely worth some time.

Just fwiw, the 2-200 spread is now a 3-200 spread with 1/3 blinds. Also a 5-500 spread with 5/5 blinds and 1500 max buyin has been running most friday nights.

Played in this game last weekend. Table was composed of 2 nits, 2 Asians splashing around, 2 or 3 Internet type guys. Not too laggy, but few people were 3 betting and they were pretty easy to get off post flop.

Old DRUNK reg sat down and dropped $600 in 8 minutes.

Will play some more after this weekends Vegas trip and update.

Any updates on Spokane? Is it pretty dead or is there anything going strong?

Funny I live here now. I commented on this in 2012.

Really only have 2 choices.

The Black Pearl (Spokane Valley)
Daily: 2-20SLHE 1 or 2 tables, 3/6O8 just one table.

First Monday each month we play 20/40LHE, only will get one game.
Every other Monday its 5-40SLHE (2/5 blinds), rarely will have a second game.

Wed and Thursday 10/20LHE only one game.

Friday 8/16LHE only one game.

I have played a decent amount here, the only thing that can be a pain is that they take a starting list for the games. So there will be a list and the game will start at 6pm and it can take 2-4hrs to get into. Games are goooooood and worth the wait.

Northern Quest (Airway Heights)
Daily: 3/6LHE, 4/8O8, 1/3 NLHE (Max bet 500, max buy in 500)

Tuesdays: 1/2 PLO (Max bet 500, max buy in 300)- I have not played in it yet but it has been going.

Friday/sat they get 3-4 1/3NLHE games, very rarely they will get a 2/5 game.

Played a bit in the last year or so, games are great just like any 1/3 games.

Thank you. So if I'm in town for one random night and prefer to play the bigger games my best bet is to go to Northern Quest?

Probably be your best bet. Send me a pm when you will be here and I can see what game we can get together too.

So I spent monday night in Spokane. Went to Northern Quest and they had no cash games at 9pm, and just a list for 3/6 limit which I wasn't interested in. They had a solid list for a 1/2plo game that would run on tuesday night, and they said this is a regular tuesday night game. Too bad I won't be here I would've enjoyed that.

So I called Black Pearl and they had 2 games, a 2-10 and a 5-40. I went and played the 5-40 and it was actually a pretty decent game. 3/5 blinds with a 40 cap on betting and a 3+1 rake. It actually led to the action being pretty good, and it wasn't unusual to see 3 streets of 40$ bets go in, or see a raise to $80 at some point. I was also pleasantly surprised that most of the players bought in for $500. We were playing 5 and 6 handed until I left.

I called Northern Quest again at that point, and they said their 3/6 game had just broke.
