"Upon arriving, there will be a Mandatory Visitor Screening Zone where guests will have their temperature checked and will be required to sign a waiver."

LOL.

Goes to show how effective the casino management thinks their own precautions are when they are nevertheless requiring everyone to sign a contract immunizing the company from suit if someone contracts COVID there.

More evidence not to play live poker for the foreseeable future.

PBKC opened with a few games. I saw Maurice Hawkins playing 2-5. It's different, but it's not THAT different.

I hear that PBKC is playing 8-handed and no plexiglass - is that true?

We're 6-handed. Every game is 6 max for now. They say they may expand to 7 if people are good with it. There's no plexiglass, which I have been pretty outspoken against. But the button has been replaced with a spray bottle of hand sanitizer that everybody's pretty much using every time they're on the button. They are pushing this game containment thing like crazy. All over twitter. We get 1 table. No transfers. No changing games. 1 table.

Kennel clubs idea of science-based evidence, If people are good with it.

No plexiglass and no UV-light disinfectant system. How does this end well?

I have never played at PBKC in part because I hear such a consistent story about how bad the place is run. This just confirms it for me.

If you can embrace the high comedy of how every rule is either misinterpreted or completely disregarded then you can laugh along with everyone else. Honestly, Ive never played in a more fun room in the sense that it seems like a big home game. Where else do you see a 10th chair pulled up for a 9-handed game or seeing the room manager come out of the office and approved a whale to buy in for 1500 into a 300max game at the request of other players and then disallowing other players to buy up to that same amount?

I’ve played PBKC religiously past 5 years and never had a problem there with rules. Yet I’ve been cheated/scummed at Seminole coco and have played there rarely.

Agreed, been playing there a long time too, it's just not the greatest environment coming from being a borgata reg prior to moving here. Great action though most of the time.

was i the whale? i remember doing that before, but i thought it was a different casino i did it in. i hated their low buyins and i hated the way nowhere in florida lets u match the big stack once u are heavily stuck. in reno and shreveport it was always allowed. i certainly dont remember other players denied so i mightve not been the whale. but i know i did this somewhere in the last year. just dont remember where.

i do remember a casino pit manager in reno once at the eldorado letting me get paid 3-2 on BJ and not giving the promo to anyone else at the table. most knew nothing about it, because rarely was another player at my table, and if they were they were getting 6-5. truthfully i felt embarrassed the others werent also.

Re: South Florida (Palm Beach, Broward, Dade)

heres a really important question that can only be answered by those currently playing in many of the newly reopened poker rooms in florida. are they aggressively demanding to see an ID, because being well over 50, im rarely ever asked. but i heard at least 2 are doing this to track people.

it wasnt seminole tampa, but i notice on their website theyre banning people with IDs from Louisiana (me) connecticut, new york and NJ from booking a hotel room at seminole tampa. and the state is also subjecting them to a 14 day quarantine. i just want to know if theyre also checking to make sure people entering the casino arent from one of those 4 states.

any casinos let older people walk in no problem without asking for ID like in the old days? for example i was never once asked for ID at the big easy, even on high hands, just for my players card. id hate to travel to florida and then find myself forced to show a non Louisiana ID to walk into the poker room.

I don’t know who you are but it was the $300max 5/10NL game. Game was full and a 2/5 had just broke. Player comes over with $1500 in rack looking for seat. Players tell him to pull up a chair and bring full rack. Dealer isn’t sure what to do, calls supervisor out from office for ruling. Players convince him it’s ok and he allows the 1500 (one player picked up to open up seat). Immediately after he returns to office, reg at the table pulls out bunch of black chips to add to his 300. Entire table revolts and tells him it’s a 300max game. Dealer made him go back down to 300. Only at the kennel.
