Everyone please use this thread to discuss all things South Florida Poker. From daily tournaments, weekly guarantees, monthly bigger buy ins, special series', and low, mid, and high stakes cash. If it is happening in Palm Beach, Broward, or Dade feel free to let everyone know.

The tri-county area covers about a 90 minute travel time from the north(Palm Beach Kennel Club), all the way down south to Magic City in Miami, and all rooms in between.

Where is the best nl action/best games in S. FL? Looks like PBKC, HR & The Isle have the most games but which room(s) do you guys think are the best overall to make $$?

At least when it comes to the lower stake games, any room you go to down here will be soft.

You cannot go wrong either Palm Beach, The Isle, or The Hard Rock. If you are coming down this week I would say palm beach since they have a tournament series right now and the games should be even better than usual.

Hardrock Hollywood is your best bet, the Isle after that.

New to Florida and living in Miami...what are my best bets for limit HE from 5/10 - 20/40? Do these actually get spread consistently anywhere?

Im guessing none of those games run in that area. Limit HE is dead in Florida except for 2/4.

Doesn't happen anywhere. Isle promoted a 4/8 LHE game a few months back, giving triple points or something to play it. They would get two games going pretty much every day, but when they dropped the promotion, the game completely dried up.

Your best bet for limit games is the 10/20 O/8 that gets going at the Isle a few days a week. Other than that, nothing but 2/4 LHE and 4/8 O/8.

Just moved up to 2/5 500N and have only played 5 times at this level. I am Looking for the softest games in S Fl. Every other factor (travel time, rewards points etc.) is irrelevant to me.

It Seems to me that that they can be found at the Hardrock. The Isles tables seemed full of regs as well as the single smoky table at Coconut creek. Hard Rock had plenty of regs but they also seemed to have a steady supply of fish. I will be trying Palm Beach Kennel club in the near future.

I would appreciate if someone can verify my thoughts.

going to Miami with the GF in october. Any places close by that are nice, have 2/4LHE for the gf, and have other things to do when gf gets bored?

I've heard magic city is a dump, not sure about Miami Jai-Alai. Hardrock Ft Lauderdale would be an option except we're not renting a car, and I'd prefer to keep taxi costs manageable.

A group of limit holdem players in Tampa Bay have organized and will be playing weekly limit holdem games at Derby Lane in Tampa/ St Pete. We had a good 5-10 limit holdem game this evening for our first kickoff game. The table stayed full the majority of the game. Since it was considered a private game, we were all fed dinner on the house. We are playing every Thursday night at 6:00 PM. This will be a permanent weekly game. As interest picks up each week, we'll get higher limit games going also. Come play next Thursday.

It's posted in Tampa, too. Thought I would post it here in case any South Florida players find themselves in Tampa, since limit holdem has evaporated in SF. . BTW, WPT at Derby Lane in December. Just announced.

Any thoughts on Gulfstream's poker room? How about Calder Casino, Magic City, Mardi Gras & Dania Jai-Alai?

i'm (also) moving to miami-dade soon - disappointed to hear about the lack of limit HE tables.

In worth?, or worth, FL. lol

Plenty of 5/10NL, 5/10/20NL, 10/20NL, 10/25NL, 25/50NL spread out around Florida.
