Palm Beach Kennel Club has by far the best action in the State IMO. I haven't played in Sarasota but Ive played in just about every other room in Florida.

I played Orange City only once so maybe it was just my table but the action was insanely good there that day.

I find Hard Rock Hollywood to be kind of average action wise. At least during the day. I hear its nutso after midnight.

Looks like staying in Sarasota and eventually heading north is the plan. I am going to be traveling in a camper van. Any beaches along the way that I might be able to stay overnight worth visiting? How is the parking in most of the FL rooms? Garages or open parking or something else? My van might have a higher clearance than most garages.

Aa MikeStarr says above. You can’t habe a Florida action list without Palm Beach being at the top. At least that is what I thought before I spent two separate trips at Orange City. It’s 1-2 with an enormous gap to anyone else based on what I have seen and heard about others I haven’t played. Best Bet in Jax was epic on my first trip there, although to be fair it was during a tournament series, and still very good on my second trip. I’ve never had a fantastic game at Gukfstream either.

Thanks for the info. I haven't yet been to Orange City so it wasn't on my radar.

Sarasota and all the Tampa area rooms have open parking. But parking at Hard Rock can be very busy at times - they have both open and garages. I'm not sure if they have space designated for a camper van but probably have some accommodation. They do have a bus parking area. You should be able to pull up to the front valet parking at the Hard Rock and ask where to park your camper van. The others should be easy for you to find an outdoor open space.

I am planning on playing some tournaments in South Florida.

Any opinions on who was the best structure/rake and softest fields?

I am a reg at PBKC - and like to play at the Isle. My opinion (FWIW) - definitely more action at PBKC - especially $2/$5 but you have to be very selective on your table choices. Rake sucks, hi-hand promos, but heavy action at both levels. I would much prefer to play the Isle more often (but I live in Northern Palm Beach County) as it's a much nicer place to be (not even CLOSE), great food options and friendly staff. PBKC is without a doubt the most depressing, scummiest place I have ever been to play poker in a casino setting.

For those looking for Higher than $2/$5, there is a super big PLO game that runs on Friday nights and they have a really weird $5/$10 $300 Max if you're the gambly type. They do get the reg $5/$10 going $500/$2K on the weekend - usually late afternoons. Occasionally, I have seen bigger games...they will spread anything if you get the players.

I haven't. No reason to go up there... If I'm driving that far, I'm going to the Isle. As depressing as that place is, there is so much action, fishy play, the dealers are very good at the kennel club....

I live about 45 minutes north of this place and haven't been. I've heard that it's by far the worst room. x-dealers from the there work at my local room now and the stories I've heard are pretty insane.

Not sure the truth behind this or if some of the details were lost, but heard from a couple of people that the room tried to not pay the BBJ because they basically didn't have the money to pay it so they were trying to use some loophole... just a shady place overall.

A friend of mine went to Ft. Pierce a while back. He said there place was the biggest dump he had ever seen and that there was a bathroom sink yanked off the wall and lying right in the middle of the floor.

I went there about 5-6 months later while passing thru the area and the damned sink was still there on the floor. Really? I wouldnt doubt that its still there today.

The worst poker room in the country reminds you of the old days where the shufflers don't work, the dealers are slow, players collude 24/7 and the cards are rigged and marked, this is A ⚠ Warning!! You don't have to believe me but don't say i didn't advise you before hand. Gulfstream, hardtock any other casino is better for regs and recs

How can the shufflers not work AND the cards be rigged? I guess the dealers are dealing from the bottom of the deck? Just tell us how much you lost.

Hi kashabrown;55355664

We appreciate you coming to play with us! Here at PBKC we care a great deal about having the best poker product in South Florida. We agree with you that our dealers are some of the best in the business. Hopefully, going forward we can add that piece of our business you feel is lacking. We look for every opportunity to make our room the best place to play!

Thanks,
TTJ

Can you elaborate on what the plans are when Dog Racing goes the way of the Do-Do? The dealers as a whole are some of the best I have sat with - one of the reasons I keep coming back (that and I live in Jupiter - so proximity counts too). Thanks for the reply sir.

It’s kinda like pot control only the stakes are much higher.

A bottle of hand sanitizer will serve as the BTN. Clever idea.

No word on 4/6/9 handed yet?
