Action on Fri/Sat at the Horseshoe at $1/2 last I went a few months ago was outstanding -- lots of bad players who are just there for the weekend to gamble.
I agree. This is great...if you're running average to good. If the card gods aren't smiling on you, forget posturing and bluffing. They'll call you down.
When I used to play 1/2 at Horseshoe, when I ran good I made a killing. When I wasn't, I could buy a pot to save my life. You could have 4 limpers in front of you, raise near the end sensing weakness, and then all of a sudden everyone's hand that was initially worth 2 bucks to them is now worth 15-20. Then on the flop they're all firing at it and if you miss you gotta sail.
Like I said, if you're running decent it's a killing. If not, head to 2/5. Those guys actually think.
