Showboat (Atlantic City, NJ) - Page 42 - Venues & Communities -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

I'll be there this weekend. Usually I split my time between Borgata and Showboat, but I'm thinking its the 'boat exclusively until the jackpot is hit.

That's kind of how I've been doing it. Once the jackpot gets hit, I'll start going to the Borgata more often.

Hopefully the Showboat has a rule that the BBJ is not invalidated due to a sleeping dealer. Based on my three days visiting this summer, catatonic dealers is all they got.

I Will be in AC this saturday night and will be there till next thursday. I Hope the BBJ is still active cause if so ill be hitting the 1/2 games like a mad man but even if it hits before I would be fo sho interested in a PLO/NLHE mix or just a PLO game. So if we can get a game next week sometime that'll be awesome. I plan on doing most of my live play at the Boat but if XXrod is off ill be stacking off to him elsewhere most likely. What night is most likely good for a plo game??

At the same time, if they truly enforced "no talking about the hand" and DQ'd the BBJ because of it every single jackpot would be voided because there's at least 3-4 players per table who can't keep their mouth shut about it.

I still would like it to be a 2/5NLHE mixed with 1/2PLO. Probably a $100min/$500 max I would think.

I'd prefer 1/2 NLHE mixed with 1/2 PLO. Also, like I said earlier, I'm just going to stick to plain old 1/2 NLHE if the mix table will be all of us 2+2er's.....no offense. I want to have fun, but I want to make money too.

I also think starting it as a 1/2 NL/PLO would be better for the sake of getting the game going for now. People get so scared of the words 2/5 its so funny. So lets get a day and a approx time start. I assume Sat would be the best?

I agree, I think the 1/2 NLHE-1/2 PLO will be less likely to break because you MIGHT be able to get NL only players to give it a whirl, especially if the podium mentions it now and then to folks joining waiting lists.

Anyway, taking the day off tomorrow to play the 11am and some 1/2. Anyone else going to be there during the day tomorrow (Friday 26th)?

I played for about 3 hours @ SB last night, and set a record for getting nothing going. I think I literally won 2 hands in that time, and they were pretty small pots. So I called Bally's, found out that the PLO had just started, so I left. Did much better there, FH over FH, etc.

PLO hasn't gone this week @ SB, I think because everyone wants to be BBJ eligible. I'm on my way there to see if I can figure out what my multiplier symbol is.

3 part prediction :

BBJ will hit in the early morning 10/15...day 1 of my 3 day first-ever trip to the showboat.

I will be the winner.

I will be alot of fun to be around for the remainder of my trip.

Alternately, It will fail to hit / have hit already and I will run ridiculously hot(per norm) and have an awesomely good time anyway.
