Hey guys I am sorry to say we are having a little computer issue right now and until that is figured out the triple will be on hold. I will let you know as soon as this is solved. I did not want to give you bad information. Again I apologize for this delay but will notify the second it is cleared up. We will definitely do the triple once it is.

There is no feature game all 2-4 3-6 1-2 and 2-5 will get the triple comps.
But will we actually get them. I can't count the number of times my comps have never posted after hours of cash game play. Has the comp system been fixed?

Was hoping to be one of those guys.... Had no chance @ diamond this year (I am currently diamond, but from craps play) until the harrah's 4/8, and freeroll promotions... now only need like 1200 tier points... was hoping to cruise to diamond w/ 3x tier points playing 1/2... guess I am gonna have to grind in dec, or play more 2/5...
12-01-2010 , 11:34 AM
what are the benefits of the higher level players cards? how many tier points do you need to get them?
12-01-2010 , 11:41 AM
Is diamond determined a year from when you got your upgrade or a calendar year, so Dec is the last opportunity?
12-01-2010 , 11:44 AM
Maybe I'm in wrong thread..but I was upgraded to diamond in september and it expires in march? I do no understand
12-01-2010 , 12:17 PM
You should get a new card in the new year with an expiration of March 2012, unless you did Diamond in a Day (not possible with poker). If you log onto harrahs.com and have >= 11,000 tier points you are diamond through 03/2012.

Platinum does not really help you in AC. Diamond gets you special line access and access to the diamond clubs, where you can eat for free. Very nice benefit to have. Also free parking.

Do HET(now CET?) properties offer you an upgrade if you show a high level card from another property?

Bally's offers double comps/double Tier Credits from 8:00pm Wednesday nights to 8:00pm Thursday nights. Possible to get 1,000 points a day there, playing 2/5 NLHE. But even the 1/3 game pays 60 tier credits an hour.

Caesar's is offering, I think, double tier credits on some days in December - but I forget the details.

You need 4,000 tier credits for a Platinum card, 11,000 tier credits for a Diamond card, and 100,000 credits for a 7-Star card.

Benefits vary depending on what city you are in, and sometimes which casino you are at. In Atlantic City, a Platinum card gets you free parking and some shorter lines. A Diamond Card gets you free food in the Diamond Club and some shorter lines. A 7-Star card gets you all kinds of goodies.

In Las Vegas, a Diamond Card gets you into restaurants and room registration as fast as a 7-Star card does in AC. The Diamond Card gets a LOT more respect there!

You need to earn the required tier credits (11,000 for Diamond) by the end of December, but the card is good until the end of the following March. For example, if you earned a Diamond Card in 2010, you will have the benefits until the end of March, 2012.

IN AC they will update your existing card or bring you up to Diamond status with usually additional promos of free slot dollars (150 i think...)

I'd like to see an answer to this. I need all the points I get the rest of the year to reach diamond, so I can't afford to lose points by playing at Showboat. This happens again and again, even after the last time it was "fixed". I won't play there until I hear their system has been totally overhauled. If they still write it on cards and the person at the desk says "I got you" when you're leaving, then forget it. They have heard about this problem so many times without addressing it, and they wonder why the room is empty? This is basic stuff.

Lee, that 2x comp/tier score that's still going on @ bally's is a 24 hour window? I thought it went back to just thursdays... Don't normally play there, but will make an exception, If I can play 10 hours @ 2/5 (assuming 120 tier points per hr.) and get there in 1 session...

Will probably be down to play @ harrahs most of the day tomorrow anyway, I actually think I played the 4/8 mini game w/ you before (@34 years old, I was the youngest guy in the game by a LOT in the afternoons) .. if you went from 4/8 over to 2/5 then I am pretty sure I know who you are...

Thanks for all the info, I should get this much calling the actual poker rooms down there...lol

It's the same system as Harrah's. When you move seats, tell a floor person.

I'm not the only one who has gone from the 4/8 game to the 2/5 - but it was probably me.

Bally's is still running a 24 block - Wednesday to Thursday, 8pm to 8pm. In the past, the 2/5 game starts sometime Wednesday afternoon to evening, runs to the middle of the night sometime, then starts again around noon on Thursday.

I have this concern, too. I've gone to Showboat in months where I was trying to get hours for a freeroll, and by the end of the month I was about 30% under the total hours I should have been.

I also get the casual "I'm busy now, but I'll clock you out when I'm done" attitude when leaving, and I assume that's largely why I don't have my full hours.

While it may be supposed to be the same system as Harrahs, there's a sign that says players are responsible for clocking themselves out, which implies that it's not the same system. Whether or not it's the same system, if they can't effectively clock people in/out, I'm also hesitant to play there.

I played at Showboat three times in 2010 and only got credit for one session. This is the main reason I don't play there anymore. It used to be my main haunt.

The last session I got credit because the floor/desk did the normal "What's your name? OK, I've got you." while continuing to do paperwork. I asked him to tell me how many hours I was getting credit for, so he clocked me out on the spot since he had to get on the computer anyway. Very frustrating that I have to play games like this to get credit.

Also, I have never noticed the staff at the other Caesars properties doing paperwork non-stop...seems to be a Showboat thing and it definitely hurts their customer service.

Is 2/5 still 60 tier/hr? Last time I played in AC I only got 20 tier credits/hr for 1/2 at Showboat and Caesars. Not sure why I would keep driving past Chester (that gives 20 tier/hr) to get to AC.

At 30/hr it took 367 hours to make diamond.
At 20/hr it will take 550 hours to make diamond, meaning it will be really tough for me to make diamond in 2011.

For me 367 hours is attainable (I live 3+ hours away), but 550 is probably not. That means in 2011 I could start bouncing around casinos instead of limiting myself to Caesars properties. I've always been kind of conflicted about not playing at Borgata and sticking with Caesars properties, since the Borgata would allow me to play something other than Texas. I also don't get to play at the Venetian when in LV.

Something for me to mull over as I make diamond this month and have to decide where to play next year.

2/5 NLHE is still 60 tier credits per hour at the 4 Atlantic City casinos (Harrah's, Caesar's, Bally's, and Showboat). They should all be paying 30 tier credits per hour at 1/2 as well - but maybe things have changed at some? I'll try and find out for sure when I return to AC in a couple of weeks.

So this thread just came to a screeching halt.

No glass, no triple comps promotion, and nothing but spinning from the management.
Luckily you can still get the stories straight from the dealers.

The Showboat poker room sucks. At one time, I really thought they might become the 3rd room in AC. (We all know numbers 1 and 2.)

Before the move to the boardwalk, when the room was upstairs, it seem to be growing. The service was great, and there was a guy named Ben. He welcomed everyone and put effort into growing the room. I still wonder what happened to him.

After the move, with the boardwalk location, the large windows, and the ocean vistas, they had a chance to really take-off, but in normal AC fashion, they dropped the ball.

They have a draw with their $65 tourneys, but have never built on it.

Shut it down!

I will always be straight with you bobby. As for the Glass they started to install the posts for it today!!!! It has been a long time coming but its finally underway. as for the triple comps I promised them once the glass is up and I will deliver as soon as it gets finished which be for the new year! I apologize for the delay even though I could not control it. We will be doing some fun things in January Im sure those who come out will like.

Dan,

Could you please confirm what the reward credits/tier score is for the 1/2 NLHE game is? And the 2/5 and 5/5 as well?

It is my understanding that the 1/2 pays $1 an hour and 30 tier credits, and that the 2/5 game pays twice that - but after seeing what some have posted here, I'm not sure.

I'm certainly glad to hear that the glass is finally going up!

Thank you.

Lee
