Showboat (Atlantic City, NJ) - Page 113 - Venues & Communities -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

Are there any plans, anytime in the future, for a big $250 tournament in the ballroom like they did four or five times in the past (20k gtd. first place???)

I remember they did this last September.

I called the poker hotline at the Showboat (609-343-4686), and they said there is one in the works that was supposed to be in September but they don't have a definite date yet. The lady I spoke with said it will probably be a $250 tourney. So apparently the rumors are true and there is one in the works. I am guessing it will either be in October or November sometime.

I think xxRod means 2008 ie '08. The tourney in 2008.

well, slowed down significantly at least. i used to check here almost every day for news on the boat. kept me going in between trips since i can only make it down a few times a year. now there's a lot less posting. hadn't check here in a month and there was only 1 1/2 new pages.

Yeah it was a nice little interlude in between being completely crushed at 1/2 and 5/5

All the dealers did pretty well considering how rarely omaha runs at the boat

I have only seen a PLO game at the Taj one time, and it was when we moved an 8-player game from SB so that we could accomodate a fish - oops, I mean a player - who is not allowed to play at SB.

Interesting news from one of the dealers yesterday. Apparently the big November tournament is going to be a 5 day series with a $250 main event. No info on other events.

Either that, or I got leveled hard.

Guys thanks for everything, all of you were really good to me over the last 2 years. Things in AC and Showboat just werent working out for me. I am typing this from FL where I will be opening a new poker room. Miss everyone, gl to you all.
