The 10 and 15 min breaks in that tournament are really just for hitting the bathroom and finding your friends to enthrall them with a bad beat story. There was a longer 30 min dinner break in the middle of the structure.

Is it confirmed WPT is being held in a banquet room/ballroom instead of the poker room?

Some of the WPT events are being held in the poker room, but most are being held in the event center all the way on the other side of the property (closer to the hotel front desk area, main casino and restaurants like the Rise Kitchen & Deli)

Got my entry already for the first flight Wednesday of the million guarantee. Time to run good hopefully

Played the O8 event and watched a guy raise preflop with T963 holding three clubs, another drooler limped and called a raise with QQ86, then flopped Q55 and raised a bettor, and got paid by TWO opponents all the way to the river.

Then in the Millie Gtd event saw a lady limp-call a raise OOP with J7 s00ted, and a guy at my table is on the button, folded to him and he limps J5 offsuit?

The level of play is absolutely atrocious, and I love it!

I had someone call an all in on a K89 two hearts board with 108off after limping under the gun and calling a preflop raise. He won though. Turn 7 and river 6. In the million GTD. So yeah the player pool is strong.

4,852 entries into the $500 NLHE $1 Million Guaranteed, absolutely bonkers. I played the flight with 702 entries and busted a bit after re-entry period entered. Highest I got my stack was around 33K, then ran JJ into KK when I had 20 bigs and that was all she wrote.

Got a few friends who were able to sneak into Day 2, one of them is top 10 in chips, but most only have about 20 bigs.

I'm playing the Freezeout this morning, then PLO on Monday and the O.E. on Tuesday. Gl to you if you're playing anything else!

what are the max bi for the 2/2, 5/5, and t/t PLO?

2/2 with a $5 rock is $200-$1,000 buyins

5/5 with a $10 rock is $500-$2,500 and allows unlimited restraddles

lately there has been either a 10/25 or a 25/25 PLO running. I believe that is $2,500 minimum and they're playing uncapped for max from what I've heard.

Couple of things happened today at Hard Rock wanted to share:

PLAYER LIST SEATING ISSUE

I was in the 5/5 PLO with $10 rock. I was on the list for 2/2 with a $5 rock and when a 2nd table was called, I went to the brush stand and told them to lockup my seat and if the game ran I would take it, but that I was in the 5/5 and still playing until then.

Awhile passes with the list being called a few times, then the brush comes to me and says I need to go to the table because only a few people showed up and they're saying I should be bumped down the list behind them (I was first on the list) because I didn't go to the table directly.

I arrive and I explain to the floor person that I told the brush to lock me into a seat and if the game went I would play. He rules that since I didn't physically go to the table and put down a card on a seat that I'm now being moved from top of the list to 4th behind the three people who came to the table.



PLAYER WELCHING ON A BET ISSUE

I get back to the 5/5 PLO game and there's a big all-in taking place. One player has flopped top and bottom set, the other has middle set and all the money is in.

After the river the losing player tries to hide a 1k pumpkin that was in his stack and not pay the full all-in amount. Other players at the table notice this and call him out.

He pockets the 1K chip (leaving the black, green and red chips already out in front of him on the table) and gets up and calmly walks out the casino while players are saying STOP, STOP! (kinda like when a middle aged woman is screaming it in the middle of a fight video but it does nothing to stop the fight)

The player who got screwed was out $815 that he was due from the other player. We were at Table 1 so right near the escalators and the guy was gone before the floor or security could arrive.

Not that they can really do anything, as they can't forcefully take the money from the scumbag as it's a debt owed to a third party, not money stolen from the casino itself.

The guy who did this was a new player none of us recognized, not a regular. Word is he plays in Jacksonville, but that's all I really know.

He was logged into the Bravo system at the table so they reported that to security and have him on camera. I believe he'll be banned from Tampa but I don't believe it impacts his ability to visit other properties and try to freeroll you like that.

I've heard about this scam before, but it's my first time seeing it in decades of playing.

Getting people to actually show up to a new game is always a problem. Everyone wants the other guy to go to the table first. So you end up with 8 players wanting to play, but none of them respond to the list being called until they look over and see other players at the table.
So the table ends up not running.

Telling the brush to lock it up until it goes doesnt really help. Players change their mind all the time while on a list. So until players actually go over and at least put a card or a chip on the table, having earlier told the brush you will play is no different than just getting on the list in the first place.

I played at Seminole Hard Rock Tampa on August 11th (Weds) from about 11pm-3am. At the time it had over 20 games going and I was sat immediately at 2-5. I have been running a little bad lately so I moved tables a couple times in an effort to get something going- during the four hours I was there, I played 2-5NL, 2-2 PLO and 1-2NL. The 2-5NL game was pretty nitty but the other two games had plenty of action and were fun to play at. I thought the staff, dealers and atmosphere were all good. My only advice- park in the Draper garage (like Broavo suggests) to avoid the long walk I had.

Yes, Draper is SUPER convenient to the poker room.

When you get past the glass doors leading to the steps and ramp from the garage (right near the garage elevators, level 3) you won't notice the poker room as you enter, as it's in your blind spot on the left.

So when you pass those glass doors just past the elevators and take the few steps down onto the carpeted floor, turn IMMEDIATELY to your left, there will be an escalator going down into the poker room.

It's VERY easy to miss if you've never been there before and you'll wind up heading into the casino area instead. If you see slots, you've gone too far! :P

or just take the garage elevator to level 1 and enter the poker room directly from the elevator

Depending on where you park it can be quicker to take the stairs down or up to level 3 and then the escalator, than to wait for the elevators.

I suggest it’s better for you to take the stairs down and skip the elevator all together…

A) it will probably get you to the room quicker given how slow the elevators are.

B) you about to sit in a chair for an extended period…get at least a little physical activity in!

(And yes, stairs to 3 and walk down the escalator…you can’t get in the room directly from the parking garage stairwell)

the room would benefit from a must-move system

The room could benefit from a LOT of different things, but you'll be hard-pressed to make much change since they know we're going to come and play regardless.

Not to mention they often struggle to keep up with filling open seats, I can only imagine the cluster with a must-move system. In their defense, like every other business they are short-staffed and I don't envy the workload the poor brush have at that front desk

thats why I think they need to start using the must move system. fewer tables open, but managed better.

also install a text paging system through your players club card.

Why would the room want fewer tables and less rake? They're going to do what's best for their bottom line, not for our comfort.

You can have them put your number in the system when you signup for a list so you can be notified via text when your seat is available.

It can be hit or miss though, I've had times when no notification ever came through.

you mean for higher stakes or on non-peak hours? would a must-move work at all when they have like 25 tables of 1-2 and 15 tables of 2-5 going?
