DesertCat please inform us what experience you have in working in a poker room or what makes you so knowledgeable on rules? Your reasoning is faulty every post you make IMO. Let the inmates run the asylum is your take on rules from what I've seen in your posts today.

My experience has been just the opposite although none were all-ins. Either the dealers were being nice or there is some confusion.

Also, I was fine with the ruling if that's the rule of the casino, but I was more upset with all the other actions that took place. The other guy trying to steal my money, the other guy flipping over my mucked cards in a uncalled pot, and then at the end he made a motion with his hands like he wanted to meet me in the garage to beat me up. lol

Is there a way we can get THE OFFICIAL RULES instead of hoping THR gets organized. The dealers did get a handout of the new stuff of about 6to8 pages with a blue logo on the first page. Did anyone see it up close.

Oh, FF, we talked at the table June 30th late... Will talk to you live...

New Topic: Safe Deposit Boxes at Tampa Hard Rock

Two of the better supervisors say they will but don't know when.

Concierge said Poker Players can now use Hotel Boxes when you are ON the property.

Took me to the Box Room and i saw 40-50 Boxes.

Obviously that is not enough and exactly opposite for what Poker Players need. We would like to put our Buy-Ins in the box for when we are NOT ON the property so we don't have to carry them around.

The THR really needs to do no flop no drop. They are absolutly killing me.

Ive probably raised in LP and have everyone folded like 8-10 times already and every time ive lost $2.

I really hate to see dealers do **** like that it is so unprofessional, on the other hand it kind of looks like your ****ing with them at the same time. Not saying you are, that's just the impression it can leave. As a rule the first thing i do when i get the pot is tip the dealer it's like automatic for me. Plus i never need to ask the dealer "did i get you". If a dealer is a good solid pro dealer then saying no, even if you didn't, is like pulling teeth. It's just really uncomfortable.

One thing that tilted the shyt out of me to no end was the face that morons are still buying into a $300 capped game for the minimum of $100 , I mean seriously idiots we have real games know buy in for the max!!!

Other then that today was cool, got there @ 6am and they were giving away a free 40inch samsung Hdtv as a part of their promotion this month, I went and asked the elder gentlemen That won If I could take the Tv off of his hands right away for $300 and he quickly responds with "Get The hell outta here" nice gg sir

Made $+286 for 8 hours which was ok despite being card dead for most of the day

The chips are SWEEEET and way better then the disease ridden old ones

All in all a good time and will be back for the madness this weekend for sure!

Not every online buys in for full, whats the difference. Just change your ranges and still let them dump money.

No money at Tampa Hard Rock. Everyone is solid. Just kiddin. Played my first session since the limit change and had a small loss. Some people have no clue to play 100bbs deep let alone anything more than that. It was awesome. Couple really sick beats but that is how it fell that night. People were spewing like crazy. Top pair is the virtual nuts and it will take the jaws of life to pry it out of their hands. Hopefully be back tmrw and book my first win. Ohh btw, no flop no drop needs to be implemented at Hard Rock. It is hella gay when it folds to you and you open and they rake that pot.

yeah ive been rocking the dre's for a while now.
DId have a stack, then lost a 1k+ pot with 55 vs k6ss on a 345 rainbow flop. nice life.

then lose another 1k+ pot with A2cc vs 97hh on a 2h3h2s flop.

somehow managed to squeek a 200 dollar win out of the little 5 hr session.

Put in my first (12 hour) session with the new limits. Stayed int he same 1/3 chair all night. I had a Poker Stars sports jacket (I'm a tool) and constantly made weird faces and head movements. (I have Tourette's Syndrome)

Overall it was a lot of fun. Lots of dead money, mixed in with some people who I suspect post here. Almost got punched by an 80 year old gentleman when I called him a choice word for requesting to see my cards when I called, lost, and mucked. He wasn't in the hand, at all.

I booked an $800+ win (bought in once for the full $300), which was a personal best, and it felt awesome having over $1k in chips.

If you played with me, it was good to meet you!

No dont do this. The HR isnt in the best area. There are a few decent hotels not too far (Near the Fair Grounds). But I wouldnt want to be walking in that neighborhood at night with cash on me.

I spent Wednesday (first night), Thursday, and Friday night at the hard rock grinding the 10/20,10/25 games and the tampa hard rock is a joke.

#1) avg dealer takes at least 3 minutes to count down and settle a pot greater than 4-5k. out of the 20ish dealers I had, there were maybe 6-7 that were competent and could deal greater than 10 hands per down. I'd hate to see what the PLO looked like.

#2) you are not allowed to ask for a count of your opponents stack unless they are all in. so, some guy raises and you want to know if you're getting implieds or you open and they call and you want to plan your bet sizing. sorry, they don't have to tell you and the dealer is not allowed to count

#3)no boxes

#4)the comp cards don't work ANYWHERE in the casino

#5)they hijacked (game broke while I was taking a walk and I wasn't there to walk away with my chips) my money and it took me 12 hours to be able to get it back after i left a table with ~18k on the table and security cashed it out. the head of security then goes on to tell me he wouldn't trust any of his employees with that kind of money and if I want to be able to get it that I need to get it immediately

#6)they said they needed my ID to do the cashout for IRS purposes and I said "if you're filing something to the irs, then I want a copy of it". they respond "sorry, we can't do that"

#7) they don't allow time pots for rake collection. in response to players saying, "we don't care, we'll take care of the time pots". supervisor responds "we will end the game if you do a time pot on your own"

other than the fact that nobody running the room has ever played poker, the games are uber-soft

Though I agree with you about their dealers being uber-horrible.

This should be pretty standard everywhere. I dont know where you are playing but every where ive played (only florida) this is common.

well, i don't have much live experience outside of florida, but those that have played a bunch outside of florida have said that counting stacks is standard everywhere else

They have a long way to go if they want to be taken seriously. I havent played there much in the last couple of years but I was shocked as the conversation turned to slow dealers ( ours was super fast and we complimented him) and the name Oscar came up. I couldnt believe hes still there and that they would even think about keeping him working when there are people who would love the job. I was happy to see some of the dealers that I remembered that do a good job.

I've been playing the 1/3 to knock off the cobwebs and the dealers either a) hate it because of the constant change making that slows the game down or b) struggle making change. The of course they ran out of chips th eother day and one of the dealers made the comment "tell me how the hell you've known this has been coming for months and you dont have the enough chips"

The dealers also complained about some of the supervisors and empty seats. One mentioned that on one of the first night they were seating another table with the same limits while his table had 4 empty chairs. Her comment "So"

Tons of issues at HR, like the ones that have been documented here. But I would guess that most casinos that were making this drastic of a change would have the same issues - in Florida mind you. The real judgement should come after the management is able to see the problems and put fixes in place. If they don't do it then they all should be replaced with real casino people...

Until then I will just go play and be happy that the games are now close to real casino poker.
