According to the floor, if you say "all in" out of turn, that's NOT binding even if everybody left folds to them. Anyhow, this guy ends up trying to take my money out of the pot while the supervisor is right there and then tries to say he thought it was his (obviously freerolling on scamming me) and they don't even seem to mind that much, and then he takes my mucked cards and flips them over and all they do is move him to another table.
I was there for that. I was the chubby guy with the Rays hat and a beard.
That guy was drunk, but that was still no excuse for them to let him behave that way.
I wasn't there for the berating of the tip, but I take it probably came from him because very staff member was kissing his arse. I can't believe he wasn't thrown out after all the **** he pulled.

lol and i was the guy in the 10 seat. that guy seriously was such a schmuck and i can guarantee u, if he wasnt a reg there for the past X ammount of years dumping money, his 1k would have went into the middle bc the action never changed.

and he says "ill see u later" as hes leaving, and gives some sort of hand motion, along with taking his monies off the table as the floor is coming to a decision, and flipping over alex's(freefalling) cards. i have no clue how he wasnt thrown out atleast for the day right there.....

Oh yeah, i did record my first losing session yesterday though, somehow.
One key hand.

UTG opens to 30, i look down at KK and make it 105 ( good betsizing, yeah i know. ldo.)
folds around to UTG with 400 stack and he cold calls the 105.

UTG obliges and moves in for 280. i ship, UTG beats me in there with AQ for 400.

Queen on flop, Ace on turn. nice life.

So i guess u cant really complain about the games when ppl r coldcalling 20bb 3bets out of the SB and getting their last 60bb after a ship and reship.

So you are saying that action out of turn is only binding if you are a tourist?

The right ruling is that action out of turn isn't binding unless there is action behind it. It doesn't matter if you say "all in" if it's not your turn yet, but if your "all in" prompts a quick "call" from the player right behind you that's another story altogether. But action out of turn has no effect on action before it if it's not binding.

Having a common sense rule is important so that drunks and tourists and irregular players can feel the game is straight, honest and fair. If they are joking around out of turn, forcing them to put their stack in isn't honest, and it isn't fair, esp. when the floor ain't gonna do it to the regular who tips there every day.

What an abortion this poker room is and it's floor people. Clearly they are running it for the regs, and if they continue to give the regs rules to angle shoot, they'll run most of the fishys pretty quick.

Not true. Per RRoP: 11. Deliberately acting out of turn will not be tolerated. A player who checks out of turn may not bet or raise on the next turn to act. An action or verbal declaration out of turn may be ruled binding if there is no bet , call, or raise by an intervening player acting after the infraction has been committed.

It doesnt matter what roberts rules say. It matters what rules they play by and enforce at that particular room.

I am thinking of coming to tampa in a few weeks and checking out the hard rock poker room. Are there any cheap close motels within walking distance? How safe is the neighborhood? thanks

Not sure about close by motels, but if you ask me the area immediately surrounding THR is pretty shady.

Also, I was fine with the ruling if that's the rule of the casino, but I was more upset with all the other actions that took place. The other guy trying to steal my money, the other guy flipping over my mucked cards in a uncalled pot, and then at the end he made a motion with his hands like he wanted to meet me in the garage to beat me up. lol

And anybody who was at my table yesterday, it was a pleasure playing with you. I had a great time as always.

There is a Holiday Inn Express that is very nice, but not walking distance. I am not positive, but I dont think that there are any that are walking distance from it, but I could be wrong.

There are several hotels within spitting distance.

I stayed at La Quinta Inn, about a $10 cab ride away, for around $45 a night!

Very nice and well worth the $$$$!

on the topic of tipping, anybody ever do delayed tipping? i'm used to online so i've constnatly been forgetting to tip in big pots, and a lot of times when i do the dealers give an attitude (most common thing is they deal my cards like 5 feet away from me next hand so i have to reach). when they do that i just don't tip them out of principal, but if they just continue doing their thing and don't give me **** i give them a nice big tip when i remember in the next few hands.

Yep, I think that's a pretty good rule of thumb. I delay tip all time because I'm not used to it, but if the dealer has a POSy attitude then you shouldn't feel any need to tip.

I delay tip sometimes when I take down a big pot. I like to stack my chips quickly so I can look at my next hand and not slow the game down. Then if I muck I figure out what I am going to tip based on the size of the pot and whether I think the dealer is solid or not. A dealer with a good attitude that is fast, but knows when not to "push" action, gets more from me on worthwhile pots. If I really like the dealer because he/she has historically been solid over a large sample I take care of him/her with even a little more.

In time raked games I always wait until the end to tip. In those games it is beneficial to be fast and proficient, after a half an hour of dealing I tip accordingly, whether or not I play a hand.
