They are often just disagreeable nits.

I know that when I go, there's probably five or six regular players that, when I see them at the table, I'll just pass on that seat even if it means waiting a bit longer because I just don't want to deal with their drama only to see them play two raised pots an hour.
Yeah Joansing I think they may have known each other. Someone at the table did make a comment about how the players arguing are always miserable.

Accept calling in for at least 2/5+

I'm also very interested. As I'll be in town for the next few weeks and have seen it on bravo a few times. I would call in and ask, but I'm in Mexico.

The game has only been running Friday and Saturday, Its is a half kill game as well. The game so far that we have been playing are Big O/8b, Stud H/L, Archie, Baudecy 2-7, A-5 triple draw, Badacey, and I think Razzdugi. I might be missing some other games but they are pretty fun. We play 8 handed and some for the draw games 2 ppl usually sit out.

Is it some combination of those or generally all of those? Is it pretty much the same group of players or a mix. I'll be in town for a few weeks and would love to play or rail the game. What time does it usually start?

It is some combination of those games, like we always play a round Big O and Stud h/l, then we either 1 or 2 of those other games, then back to Big 0. Games usually starts around 3-4pm, it just depends how many people we have and we have also started 6 handed.

How long do I have away from table without meal ticket? Also bumping the fact they don't take call ins for 2/5 for a room this size

2 hours. You get put to the top of the list when you get back.

I wouldn't mind a call-in option for 2/5+, but not sure it's necessary in 90% of situations. Other than during big tournament series and the Saturday AM tournament, I can't remember the last time I waited more than 15 minutes for a 2/5 seat.

Of course, a call-in option would be done with the quickness if Tampa had the same kind of competition as the east coast. But the only regular 2/5 action is at THR so the management is like *shrug*.

Thanks and the call in thing is definitely just surprising. Away from table without asking for a meal ticket I had asked. 15, 30 minutes?

30 minutes if there is no list is the rule. If you explicitly tell the dealer you're grabbing a bite and will definitely come back, they'll give more leeway. Even more leeway if you leave chips on the table.

IMO they're more worried about keeping seats for players who get busted, say "I'll be back" then never return. The dealers who understand the difference are more common than you may think.

Would be nice if they implement some type of food runner from the noodle bar to the room so we can just take it in back and eat there but pfff... Never Gonna happen

Can someone explain to me this new drawing promotion for January that apparently is enacted for February as well. Is there a way to be alerted if you're called, or do you literally have to be on-site if they call your name to collect? If it's the latter, am I crazy, or is that hilariously awful?

And doesn't it make the poker room a clusterf**k on the day of the drawing? I sorta hope I'm misunderstanding something, because these promotions seems insanely awful to me.

It's messed up. You have to be on site and report within a short period of your name being called or they draw someone else. Within 2 minutes IIRC

It also isn't clear how one can distribute your tickets. Like can I put all my tickets in one drawing or one in each drawing or however I want to do it?

Seems like it's going to be a mess that day. What a stupid promotion.

They're doing it again February. This is bull****.

Talked to a dealer. You can't pick which drawings your tickets go into AND if you win one you have to claim it within 2 minutes. So basically to maximize one's EV for this you have arrive before 10AM to get your tickets and hang out there until 2AM.

This really makes me want to play somewhere else in February but this month I've already got 20 tickets.

Worst promo ever...but hey let's do it again! People would much rather stay at the casino all day and night and maybe win 1000 dollars than just get paid 600+ right?

What's worse is the day of the drawing is my birthday. While I may spend some time playing cards there is no way in hell I'm camping out all day in the event I may win a drawing.

It's my understanding that when you get there, you get your tickets and you physically put them in the the drum or whatever they use to draw from. Once your tix are in there, they're in for the rest of the day and remainder of the drawings.

It's going to be a total cluster**** in the room that day. They're gonna have to have chairs set up all around the room cause there will be tons of people in there waiting for seats. You can actually come in, get your tix, and sit back in the food area and watch movies all day on your laptop and wait for your name to be drawn since being at a table is not required.
