thats a "straddle rock" used to loosen up a table. Whoever "wins" it in a pot has to straddle ($20) with it when he is able. Most people go along with it, but there are some serious types that "don't straddle" ,etc, and will sell it ...

Played some 1-2 PLO today from about 11-5. Only for a few short times did we play with a full table. A 2-5 table started later in the day. It was fun the dealers were green and most the players helped them along. No one screwed up really bad. There was some confusion about if there is a strattle alowed for PLO. They allowed it in the middle of the night after the flip but then decided against it in middle of the day. The players were a mix of decent players that knew what they were doing and a number of folks who would burn thru a few hunded dollars really quick and leave. I'm guessing the game played like a 5cent 10 cent game online. By this I mean a lot of preflop limping.

Sweet I ll be up there tommorrow. Derby lane couldn't get more than 2 people on a list for any plo from 12 to 6. Not unsuprisingly I guess.

played the 2/5 plo @ midnight last night and it was a pretty good table, lots of action..ppl are kinda bad at plo. stack off what i thought was very light. (middle set, no redraws for 200BB)

unfortunately it died very quickly at like 3 am

5/10/20 (whole table was straddling) utg limps, I'm SB and raise to 100 with Q9ss. Straddle calls and limper folds.
Flop (A93dd). I bet 150 and he calls.
Turn (A93dd) (9) putting 2 flushe draws out. I bet 400, he thinks and calls.
River (A9398) (no flush) I bet 950, he thinks for a while and finally shoves for his last 350 or 400. I make the crying call, and he rolls 77 (!)

Didn't really think he was capable of shoving worse for value, and shoving another 350 over 950 is basically never a bluff. And if he had a hand that was a bluff catcher, he'd should definitely always just call. When live players ship that river it's like always 9s full or 3s full IMO.

Had a good night at the 2/5NL table....won about $350ish. And I lost 2 monster pots when I had the dude outkicked and he got 2 pair on the river. Woulda won well over $600. Meh.

Played in the 1/2 PLO also and wow there was some bad play.

They were not doing no flop no drop....cheap pricks.

Had you ever played there before? That is standard at the HR's and possibly all the Indian Properties. It sucks, but standard there.

Mike, FYI, it sounds like there will be in the near future, for some reason HRT managment didn't bother to tell all the dealers.

Really? That would make it so much better if they would, but I just really don't see it happening. It would be REALLY nice.

I live in Orlando and drive down to the Hard Rock Tampa now and then. I am planning to go this weekend. If you or other Orlandoers need a ride let me know. The 1hr ride to the Hard Rock can get a little tedious and always nice to have someone to rehash hands with on the way back.

It must be dealer dependent because I played 4 hours last night and none of my dealers raked without a flop. I talked to one dealer and he said management hadn't made it clear.

Is the Bravo system up and running for putting your name on the list? (Just swiping your card?)

Its running but you cant swipe your card yourself...the staff does it. Im not sure if this will change but we shall see.

Also, Some dealers were not taking rake with no flop, some were taking just the rake and not the BBJ rake, and some were taking rake AND the BBJ rake....its safe to say the seminoles have their head up their arses as far as the no flop no drop rule goes.

10/25 was the biggest game wednesday night and 10/20 was the biggest game thursday

For any of you limit guys, I am pretty sure they had a 10/20 limit game yesterday and today. I kept hearing them call people for it or to open it. also I think they had a list building for 20/40 limit.
