Hi Ron,

What is the cap on the number of players for Saturday's deep stack and any idea how many people are registered for the deep stack as of today? Thanks.

350 cap to start with alternates if someone busts the 1st 2 hours and doesn't want to re-enter.

I will find out later about how many are registered for event 1 and 2.

Just registered for #1 and #2, 93 so far for #1 and 28 for #2.
#1 will be sold out for sure with a few hundred alternates and #2 should sell out with all the free WPT money flying around.

Ron- In your opinion, was the poker room much busier during the month of May due to the extra comps for the WPT?

Im not sure if it was busier than normal but there was alot of new faces, some from other rooms there to get WPT money.

Thanks. Interesting to speculate on whether or not our player jackpot money is generating a benefit to players (i.e., more action). At least the money does eventually make it to player pockets through the tournament prize pools - except for the amount that pays the tournament fees, of course.

I wonder if tournament overlays (if any) come out of the player jackpot monies.

Guaranteed prize pools that have to make up money for not enough players, on the normal tournaments does come out of the promo fund, which is 60% of the jackpot $1 drops. For WPT I would think the same applies.

I'm planning to start summer hours on Day 1 this Sunday (for the beats, won't make it to an ipad I don't think, but who knows...) And also buy a ticket for the Thurs. $175 event. I wonder if the cash games will have long waits due to the WPT? I'm sure it was nuts today being Saturday.

Did the bad beat get hit?

Does anyone know what percent of the players get paid for the WPT tourneys? Is it a fixed amount like 10% or 20%? Also, is there a fixed % for each place as a function of the prize pool?

Like for the Sat $550, it says that $500 goes to the prize pool, and max players is 350. If that happens, then that's $175k in the prize pool (which makes the $75k guarantee a bit lame). Any idea how much first place would be for that?

Thanks.

10% get paid.

1st place was $18k for the $175, so I'd expect it to be in the $45k-$50k range for the $500, assuming about the same number of players (low-mid 400's).

All the guarantees are a non factor except the main event. There may be an overlay there with the WSOP going on now. But maybe not.

Today there was 444 players and it payed 45 spots. 1st was about 27%(21k) and min cash was $389 for the $200 buy in.

With 350 tomorrow it may be 47k, I don't know if they are all 27% or what.

Wow, it went up to $21k? I thought it was maxed out when I glanced up at 1:30. Pretty good return on two bills, even assuming a chop at some point. I'm going to play the Thursday $200 after I win #2 on Sunday.

Tonight after the PLO event #3 is done registering, or anytime during the day tomorrow. Don't wait till 5 or 6 on Sunday to register though obviously.
