Just got home.....THR Poker room is run so ****ing bad. If there are any employees reading this....for the love of god do SOMETHING to change it!!!

Also, have any of you tried or have used the poker comps......stupid how they set it up. So mega tilting.

My first experience: I get my first poker comp for $25 because I decided to go get some beers after my session. So towards the end of the night I ended up not feeling like it and just went home and decided to use it tomorrow. Fast foward 2 days...I notice the comp has expired (only good for 24 hours...wtf?) so I think no big deal Ill just get another one or have the money put back onto my card....wrong. Once the comp is issued thats it, use it or lose it. And that came from one of the higher ups because as you can imagine I was quite pissed after playing 25 ****ing hours of poker and lose all my comps.

My second experience: Time to get something to eat....I get a comp for $10 to get ONE sandwich at the horrible ****ing school style cafateria they have...guess what.....have to use ALL the money on your comp....I had to order way more food than I wanted then it came out to more than $10 and I had to reach in my pocket for cash.....sigh

Why are the ****ing poker comps different for us than people who play slots, BJ, etc? I should be able to use my Hard Rock card like a credit card like every other goddamn person in the casino uses theirs.

I am confused, did you get a supervisor to comp you or are you talking about the comps you get per hour you are logged in. They are good for 24 hours? Are you ****ing kidding me?

I should have a ton of hours, and have not used any yet because I have not been hungry/thirsty and dont drink alcohol). I have not checked my balance in the little "broken" kiosk either.

No your comps are good as long as they are on your card....they stay there indefinitly.

But when you want to redeem them for something you have to go to the brush stand and then they give you a printout for whatever cash value you want at the time. Once then print it out though....use it or lose it.

can someone please also tell me why the little cart lady cant color you up in odd ammounts.

Like when i tried to color to black in the 5/10 this morning, she could only color up in incriments of 2,000 (20 chips). same would be in increments of 500 in the 25$ chips. (20 chips)

Saw this hand at the Hard Rock:

In heads up action on the river, Player A says "All in". It's said loud enough that the player on his immediate left and immediate right hear the "all in" but Player B, who is 2 seats over, apparently does not hear it. Dealer doesn't hear it or is not paying close enough attention (my guess is the latter).

After making the verbal "all in" delcaration, Player A starts to slide his chips to the center. Because of the way he is moving his chips in, the first motion is to slide across the line a stack of reds.

Meanwhile, Player B says "call" and pushes a stack of reds toward the line because he thinks the bet is only the $100 and not "all in" for $400 or so. His $100 does not cross the line when realizes Player A is starting to slide the rest of his stack into the center.

The players around him start to explain to Player B and to the dealer that Player A said "all in". Player B now says he did not hear the "all in" and was just calling the stack of reds. Both players have roughly $$400 behind.

What's the correct ruling here?

The dealer ended up letting Player A's "all in" stand. Player B was allowed to rescind his "call" and take back his stack of reds that he had started to slide out. He was allowed to fold. Seemed like a weird ruling to me. If Player A's "all in" declaration was loud enough to stand then isn't the onus on Player B to be attentive enough to realize his "call" declaration was for the rest of his chips? Alternatively, if the ruling is that Player B gets a pass because Player A didn't say "all in" loud enough, then shouldn't Player's river bet be limited to the stack of reds he slid out first (i.e. which is what he would limited to if he had never said "all in")? Just curious what the thread thinks.

While this ruling may not be the most strict enforcement of the rules, it's appropriate and fair.

The key is that the Red all in button wasnt thrown out. Sounds like a fair ruling. If the Red all in button is thrown out then he has to call the full $400+.

That honestly sounds like the best ruling ever from the HR, I'm surprised they didn't say there was too much confusion and to just split the pot.

The key to the good decision was that no supervisor was called. lol

That ruling is proper. However, it could have gone several other ways. The worst of the other possible rulings is player A be stuck with 100 bet, other would have been player b would be stuck either betting 100 or calling the all in (could not raise). Who knows.

We had a great table last night. 3-2. We had mandatory straddle and did 2 flips. First one was for a hundo 7 ways....I won. Second one was for 50 7 ways....I won obv. I run better than hussein Bolt.

We had 4 2+2'ers on the table and then a revolving door of 2 muppets who kept buying in for $200 and going busto. "Save my seat dealer" they would say over and over as they could not trust themselves with more than $200 in their pockets so they continued to pay BB after BB in vig at the ATM.

Winning $900 in flips helps your win rate. Couple that with the $1/hr comps and I am a regular live rakeback pro.

Im surprised, that ruling was pretty good considering.

How about this instead......dealers, do your job and pay the **** attention to the action. We players are making bets that are more than some peoples paychecks and your just staring into space....then get frustrated when you gt stiffed on a tip?

Well first off you should have read the comp, thats on you, do not get mad at management. These tracks would rather have slots in place of the poker tables, be happy your getting 1$ or whatever it is.
One more thing, you complain about a dealer screwing up in your pots worth more than their paychecks but you get mad when your comp does not cover what you want so you cry about 2$ more.

W in TF are you talking about? Yea like the hard rock needs more slot machines to take that little space in the poker room. On the busiest night of the week 35% of the slot machines are empty in the THR genious. I am happy getting $1 hour at least now.....its spending it thats tilting. Its not about the extra money I had to grab, its the horribly flawed system they set up for redeeming the ****ing comps.

Oh and I can understand your reasoning how launching a $250 bet and the dealer staring off into space relates to my complaint about the comp system.

Lighten up, Frances. The dealers have to do 10 things at once. Obv some are better and smoother than others, but in the stated hand, the guy that was in hand paying total attention 2 seats away misunderstood the action, you can't knock the dealer for being confused of the action. Reading between the lines, the dealer mabe stopped the show and made sure cards weren't revealed until the action was corrected.

***WARNING***

Do not flip with Pyramid_Scam! He is the most skilled flip artist I have ever seen. He says he just runs good, but he is "a hustla baby and I just want you to know".

Had fun at the table, even though I had to pull out a winning session the old fashioned way.
