Flop J108.

Sb checks, BB bets 1/2 pot, next to act calls, I raise about pot, fold to BB, he and other player call.

turn: J.

BB open folds (gotta love live poker). Next shoves for about 2/3 pot, I snap of course. He turns over 77. lol.

Let's see my outs: 3 kings, 3 queens, 3 tens, any ace, any 9, 6 remaining diamonds. (Or to make it look sexy: K,K,K,Q,Q, Q,10,10,10,A, A,A,9,9,9, A, 9,86,5, 4, 3,2)

Yes, the full blown 23 outs (if I counted correctly). I wiff them all. Now THAT takes a special sort of talent

I played a hand amazingly similar to this last night. I forgot what the exact betting amounts were, but I raised preflop with KQ and 2 players called. The flop was JT8. A short stack gets it all in, I raise, the other callers ships, I call. The other guy involved in the big side pot had 75 and hits on a 5 on the river to scoop. Other guy had A9

That's how the pros do it.

I'm usually up there 3-4 times a week. I'll be there Friday/Sat/Sunday playing mostly 1/2 NL I think. If you see a young white guy with glasses wearing Viking gear or a plaid hoodie, feel free to say hey.

THR question - not necessarily a poker one though. Does anyone here know if they will let me wife use the pool at THR when I am playing? I hate to leave her at home on the weekends and the beach is a bit far for her.

I believe that only guest staying at the hotel or people attending a special event at the pool have access to it.

I dont think they check people for the pool but you can call them and ask for the pool area. And if they say guests only then I think there is a fee you can pay to use it.
You may get by even if they say guests only.

To the Orlando attorney who folded 45 against my top set on the 754 board where I stacked KK: I do know about 2p2. I know the code. But the fish don't wanna hear strategy talk. They came to make with the gambool. That's why I didn't acknowledge it when you asked me about it.

No hard feelings, broseph.

I haven't heard anything yet, they may cease them or make it less worth it (30 hours for $150? Lol!). Reason I am guessing they may not is because the summer is the slow season here. As more people will come out anyway in the fall/winter they may not see a reason to offer a promo or something as good as 20 hours $150...my 2 cents!!

Already heard the reg's complaining about the 5 hour jump from 20 to 25 so I cant imagine the attendance being up if they bump the hours, I personally wouldn't go if it gets to 30 hrs based on surrounding rooms being closer to my residence.

They bumped the hours from 20-25 but added Friday into the mix which I think actually makes it a much better promo. Don't you know live regs complain 24-7 regardless?

If you're going to be there a decent length session, may be worth it for the wife to get a day pass from the spa...then she has full access to the pool (including towels, etc.) as well as changing room, etc.

More on day pass, if IIRC it costs something like 20 or 25, and they have sauna & hot tub, plus fruit, tea, etc. If she ends up getting a treatment (massage, whatever), the day pass fee is applied to that (so pool is then "free"). My wife has done this a couple of times and enjoys it. You can eat out at the pool area as well; last time she did that I took a break at one point and we had lunch out there...food was excellent (I think it's a shortened menu from the Green Room kitchen) but service was incredibly slow. Didn't know they had to butcher the cow before making the sliders.

I actually think adding friday is one of the best/quickest improvements they have made. Would also like to add that I think a month long promo would be a much better idea, seems to work well @ places in LV

Yeah, its a bit foolish that you pay a $20 rake on a $100 tourney and get no credit. When playing $2-5 plo they charge a $6, 1/2 hour timed rake...they could very easily credit you 1 hour for every $12 in tourney rake at a minimum....or something like that.

the 20-30% juice is the reason why the mtt's @ the hardrock are very small. they use to run a Saturday $120 mtt that guaranteed 15k and it would get from 150-190 every sat, they took off the guarantee and the numbers are a joke

Trust me, you're service time was about as long as you would wait if you were in the Green Room itself. That is probably one of the slowest run eateries at the joint. At least at Council Oak they give you bread to pass the time.

Talked to Mike two minutes ago on the phone. He's good, at the East Lake Inn. His laptop is still in the box, and he's unsure about setting it up so I'm gonna help him with that. I'm picking him up today and bringing him with me when I go play around 2-3 so he doesn't have a heat stroke walking in this weather.

So, I'll be back out there today with Mike and my gf. Only need four hours for my giftcard and thank God for that. Last night I have two pair in a three bet pot with AJ on 6QAJ board and get it in (started the hand ~70BB deep). Dude flatted my 3B and called my flop Cbet with KT. GG. Before that it was my QQ vs guy who flatted OOP my PFR with KK and we get it in on 8 high flop with a flush draw. And between those two I had J2spades in SB, limp along with four others, flop is 345 two spades, I bet, two callers, turn is Qs, I fire 3/4 PSB, one caller. River is a offsuit 4, I fire 2/3 PSB, guy shoves for like 25 more, I call he has 34. GG.

Most expensive $150 I've ever made.

I played well but busted my BR yesterday, not even 4 hours shy of 25.
A 350 loss just became 500. Suuuuucks bruh.

Gonna have to wait a couple of weeks before I come back. Super bummed.
