Fair point. I'll do that next time I'm in the casino. Dunno when that'll be but I'll make a point to say hello.

7 people didn't collect and will be told they're too late. It was in the fine print. Pretty ****ty, but this is the rule for all hours promotions there.
Ouch, that is really, really crappy actually. Seems like a real dick move.

Thanks. I'm sure you'll bump into me at some point. I like to know the other regs in the room at least to say hello to. I don't know a lot of people here.

Were you wearing the lavender dress over or under the shirt and slacks?
I've seen a couple of people with unlit cigars at a table, and they smell like smoke, but I've never seen anyone allowed to smoke, ever. I find it really hard to believe someone was sitting at a table smoking a cigar and no one stopped it. For one thing, the other players would go ape**** about it, no matter how big a whale he was. And the dealers and floors jump on that immediately.

Nobody is allowed to smoke. Saw a drunk guy light up a cigarette one time, dealer immediately told him to put it out and called a supervisor. Several players including myself told him he can't smoke also.

Sometimes people have cigars or cigarettes in their mouth (idk why) and that's allowed as long as they don't light up.

I'm a lowly 1/2 player atm but I've never seen anyone actually smoke at the table in all my hours. Can't imagine how that wouldn't be shut down instantly.

You're not even allowed to vape in the room, let alone smoke.

David (supervisor) came up to me the other night and clarified the Wednesday Bad Beat promotion for me. First, he said he thinks its going to start at $5k. And aces full of kings (with AA in your hand) has to lose to win the bad beat. Before, he didn't think you had to lose, just make the hand. Was supposed to start last Wednesday so I guess it starts this Wednesday...as far as he knows. And if no one hits it, it carries over to the following Wednesday and aces full of queens (with AA in your hand) also wins.

Exactly Aces full of kings or aces full of kings or better? I'm guessing the latter but as described it sounds like the former

Told by supervisor today that the Wed only jackpot won't start until after the current BBJ gets hit. Something about not being able to change requirements midstream, so to speak.

EXACTLY aces full of kings....which is why it will be hard to hit.

Anything better than aces full of kings would be quads or better and qualify for the mini bad beat or regular bad beat.

I was wondering if they stacked.

The odds of losing with exactly Aces Full of Kings vs. quads or better with AA in hand

.00000321

The odds of losing with quad 2s or better

.00001081

Combined "mini bad beat or AAKKK bad beat"

.00001402

So about a 40% greater chance to hit a mini type bad beat on Wednesday.

The website I found the bad beat probabilities assumes 10 player tables where no one folds. So in typical hands at a 9 player table the odds are much much worse, but the 40% increase should be the same (I think) regardless of number of players.

It's such a minor improvement in making a mini bad beat I wonder why bother...though eventually when they drop the hand requirements enough it may get significantly easier.

There seems to be varying descriptions of what this will be from different dealers/floors. What a dealer told me was that it starts at Aces full of kings, and if not hit the first hour, it goes down to aces full of queens or aces full of kings the next hour, and so on for 12 hours so the last hour on Wed any aces full (with pocket AA) that gets beat would win. Then if not hit, it starts at aces full of kings for the first hour the next Wed, and goes down one rank each hour again.

It wouldn't qualify for the Main or Mini bad beat cause its a full house that has to lose....and only a full house.

the post I was replying to had asked if to win the weds jackpot ace s full of kings exactly had to lose, or if aces full of kings or better had to lose, and I was pointing out that any hand better than aces full of kings would be, at the minimum, quad deuces which would mean they win the mini bad beat rather than the Weds bad beat. So the Weds jackpot couldn't be aces full of kings or better losing.

So I was agreeing with your post, and explaining to the other poster I quoted above your quote why it couldn't be "or better".

I don't follow the poker legislative thread on 2+2 that closely and I am guessing neither do most FL poker players. I wanted to share this email I got today from the poker alliance about referendum vote that is on the FL ballot Nov 6.

"As a poker enthusiast, you care about the future of our game. That is why I am letting you know about a very troubling ballot referendum in Florida that is gaining momentum and needs to be stopped. Before you read any further, I am not asking you for money, but the Florida poker community is asking for your help.

Do you have any friends or family in the state of Florida? If yes, then please forward this email, pick up the phone or send a text and tell them to VOTE NO on Amendment 3.

Amendment 3 will make it very difficult -- if not impossible -- to expand gaming opportunities in Florida. If Amendment 3 passes it means there will be no new poker rooms, no chance to add new games at existing cardrooms, and, it forecloses on the opportunity for Florida to legalize internet poker and sports betting. This is information your Florida connections need to know. Please take a minute to share this special web page: https://www.pokeralliance.com/vote-no-on-3/

Your help is important because if we succeed in defeating this amendment in Florida, we can duplicate this grassroots effort across the country to promote laws that expand access to poker.

Early voting has already started in Florida, so it’s very important that tell your friends and family in the Sunshine State to VOTE NO on Amendment 3. Florida’s poker community is grateful for your help!

Proud to Play,

Mark Brenner, President
Poker Alliance

P.S. Please remember to forward this email, call or text your connections in Florida to let them know to vote NO on Amendment 3."

Clifs - If you like poker vote NO on amendment 3

They're up on the website. $300 for 75 hours. High hands have a variety of times and amounts, it's easier to see it on the website than me type it here.
