Yeah that's weird...what's happening to the money from the tickets? Because the other promos are the exact same so they seem short like 25k

Seems really tough to get a table change here, is that usually the case? I usually don’t get annoyed by that but a lot of these 1/2 games seem to be really short stacked.

I went to the floor and pointed out a table with some open seats, my table is full, he told me to wait. No one has filled those seats and it’s been about an hour...

I swear everytime I play at the Rock, I wonder why I even play here. First off, had one dealer, she legit had zero idea what she was doing, shipped the pot twice to the wrong person, forgot there was a sidepot after an all in, and we had to spend 3 minutes going though everyones bets again, on top of just being painfully slow... Another guy misdealed 3 times in his 30 min set....Then we had long wait list, had a guy gone for over 2 hours, called the floor 3 times to get the guys chips so someone could come play, said they'd look into it, they never came back..... finally the 4th time, after the dealer made a note that they've called the floor 3 other times on this guys chips, took another 10 minutes and they FINALLY took care of it, and people just busting and rebuying for $40.00 and being allowed too (There was 2 players at my table doing it) Really wish Derby didn't screw up their room dynamics by having 1-2 instead of 1-1 which all but killed the 1-3 game (Which was by far the best-juciest game in town) These short stack nit fests at the Rock, while people are just trying to grind out their 75 hours are painful.

Shouldn't take that long. Ask your dealer for a transfer, they'll send a brush usually after a few minutes as long as you have 7 (maybe 6?) occupied seats at your table, empty ones elsewhere, and no wait list. If there is a list they just put you on it.

I have found like one time in five maybe the brush never actually requests a transfer. If I've been waiting a while I just ask again or go to the desk.

There's a kiosk near the elevators. When you're not logged into Bravo you can swipe your card into the kiosk and check your hours.

Yes, there is a machine across from the ATMs in the elevator foyer. Swipe your card and press “promotions”; it will show everything.

If you are checking hours while playing, you’ll need to have the dealer log you out of the Bravo system and then log you back in so the system will update the time; it only updates when your session ends, not continuously.

Straddled pot at 1/2. Someone makes it 20$, guy mistakenly calls for 5, then realizes the size is 20. Dealer says his 5 is forfeit if he folds. Is this a recent rule change?

Seems like a fair ruling, what would you suggest otherwise? Did they just throw out a $5 chip or did they announce call?

Just different from the past, no announcement of call. Just learned it was that the betting line is enforced now

I've seen that rule enforced the same way many times prior to the betting line being enforced.

Anybody have any good strategies for converting comp dollars to cash? At a lot of casinos you can use comps for slots or other games but not SHRT.

AFAIK all I can buy is food, drink, services, and crap from the overpriced gift shop. I never have need to buy food/drink/services so I end up just wasting a ton of comps since they're constantly expiring every 60 days.

Buying and selling the more expensive shop items like Oakleys and watches is my only real idea but these are massively overpriced so I should expect like 30 to 40 cents on the dollar after selling.

On my table, I saw a very badly administered floor ruling yesterday that I feel like mentioning :

Action on the flop : Seat 1 bets, Seat 8 calls, Seat 9 is preparing a raise, and the dealer burns & deals the turn prematurely. Floor is called, Seat 9 is given their opportunity to act on the flop, which is great and all, but : Floor mostly just talks to the dealer, and hardly says anything to any of the players involved in the hand, including: the premature turn card is still face up on the felt without any explanation of what's going to be done with it, no mention that the natural river will be dealt as the new turn, and how the premature turn & the rest of the cards in the deck will be shuffled together & dealt off the top for the new river.

The ruling is correct & not particularly uncommon, but the floor was far too quiet with the whole thing, which caused confusion and was pretty disappointing to see.

I just gotta say, unless you have some kind of very particular dietary restrictions, consider actually using them for food...there are some really excellent restaurants, and it doesn’t take much in comps to cover an entire meal. I figure you’ve got to eat at some point anyway.

The salad at Council Oak (eat at the bar), the soups at Rise and the Poker Snack Bar (made by Rise), the waffle at Rise—all excellent.

Less healthy, but also really good are the burgers & chicken sandwiches and onion rings at the Poker Snack Bar. Have also had some good meals at The Rez.

From a business perspective, I highly doubt you would get anywhere with the casino as far as changing anything- from their perspective, they are offering the comps as a thanks for your loyalty in playing regularly, but they are perfectly happy if you choose to not use them. Just curious -- are there really a lot of casinos that let you use comp dollars to gamble with? I don't think I've ever played at a place where you could do that, but it has been a long time since I've been to other casinos.

Ive seen that enforced here before. I’ve even been to a handful of casinos that will actually make you match the entire bet if you do that

I do actually have some very particular dietary restrictions that rule out nearly every restaurant there.

I'm thinking I should just buy drinks for the table. Or will this look predatory if I'm not drinking?

The casino is so perfectly happy in me not using comps they make them expire every 60 days so I can't even save up for a trip to Hollywood for more than a day or two.

-----

To above poster yes there are casinos that allow using comps on gambling for instance The Isle in Pompano Beach. I don't know exactly how common this is.

Haven't been to Tampa in a long time but Coconut Creek allows me to buy cigarettes. If Tampa allow the same then they should be fairly easy to sell onto people for a small discount.

Yeah they have cigarettes here. Also a cigar shop. Probably all overpriced. Do you sell them in individual packs or what? Not sure if this is legal...also I get like 300 in comps a month. Don't want to be spending a bunch of time hustling cigarettes. If people will buy bulk that's different.

First the gambling. Then the dealing drugs. Where does it end?
