The game of the month was introduced to create interest in a game we do not normally run. Last month was O8 and we were able to add a game we don't offer. We have had Omaha every night since June 7th. Next month's GOM will be PLO. The 2-5-10NL game is a nice option and will be brought up as a potential GOM for September. Thanks for the suggestions!

Yeah I agree with "duck sauce" 80/20 split sounds fair, for example; $1000 high hand award split $800 for NL and $200 for limit. Also, how about awarding high hands every 30 minutes or so to compete with other casinos? So instead of awarding $1000/hr just award $500 every half hour? I live in North Broward County and sometimes drive down to Miami for the $500 promo every half hour, I seen some Palm Beach regulars take the drive as well.

As far as GOM, how about just rewarding the regulars that mostly play 2/5NL and 1/2NL? I would use the extra $$$ to buy into more tournaments. Also, how about rewarding the players that play tournaments, I know the Isle's casino does it. Thank you.

what o8 limit games do they spread at hard rock and how many tables do they run, and any o8 info at the isle would be great havent lived in fort lauderdale for about 2.5 years now but i know poker has picked up a lot since then and im thinking about spending a month there playing o8 limit

Seems like they have 4/8 running most of the time and then they make it 8/16 if everyone at the table agrees. Last month the 4/8 O8 was game of the month with $5/hour comps, $150 high hand every hour and a splash the pot every hour.

BTW I am trying to see if there is any interest in backing or buying shares of me into some of the WPT summer splash events. Here is the thread.

that would be optimal, but i wouldn't object to 50bb-200bb, Not many people actually buy in for 100bb's

I don't know what forum is best for this question, but has anyone here eaten at the nicer restaurants at the Seminole Hard Rock and do you recommend any of them? I'm looking at maybe Bongo's or Martarano's.

Never been to the one at Hard rock(because the prices are jacked up about 50%), but Bongos is an awesome Cuban restaurant. They have one at the American Airlines Arena (outside the arena). A dish that costs 14 at the arena location is about 21 at HR, but if you want to go somewhere at Hard Rock im sure its good

You guys do realize that they are doing this to start "new" games. I am pretty sure that there are lots of 2/5 NLHE tables going all the time at the Rock.

lol at the new Hard Rock rules of no posting, Had some lady bounce tables and she came in on the BB and she said I'll wait for the BB to pass me and she didnt even have to post her BB, They called the floor and they ruled in her favor LOL. Also she came from a different table sat with $400 and then she cashed out $200 before she played a hand. And again the floor ruled in her favor LOL. So if you come from a different table you don't have to bring all your chips, super gay.

It could be the greatest place to eat in the world, but you couldn't pay me to step foot in a place where the owner puts his guido face on the outside of a restaurant get the **** out of here. So unbelievably vain.

Angle shooting tournaments:

So today I decided to play the 35 $ rebuy (don't ask me why). And I was thinking to myself how easy it would be to take bigger chips off the table and save them for diff tournaments. What is in place to stop this from happening? Would be pretty ****ing easy to play the 35$ rebuys and stock up on 1k chips (or bigger) for bigger tournaments, especially the wpt next month.

I am sure they count the chips after the tournaments and then you have the all the cameras. It would be pretty easy for them to spot imo.

The sets used are counted after every tournament and if something is missing the video is reviewed. The chips used today were the daily set and not used for the higher end tournaments.

They use a different chip set for their occasional bigger tournaments (big slick, etc) and a third set for WPT events

Some D-bag actually tried pulling that off up here in Tampa and got an instant lifetime ban and a sit down with the tribal police. I was playing the FL Millions at Derby and one of the high limit players was telling me the story. He was buying into really low limit tourneys and palming 2-3 high denomination chips and then tried getting them into a few of the 1,100 tourneys (this was before the laws changed). They caught him real quick and he was done there.

Def was not a quick catch. He had been doing it for years, but no one could catch him, nor did they know who it was. Finally figured out at a two day event when he added chips at the beginning of play on day 2. Sad to see, he has been playing longer than I can remember and always livened/ loosened up the table.
