I understand you can order food at the table now.

Can someone provide some information on the variety of offerings which may be offered (ie - just light snacks - or full sized meals) etc....

Is food available at the table 24 x 7 - or just during certain shifts/time of day.

Thanks

A salad or two, a fruit option, hotdog, a couple other pre made sandwiches which looked lousy and 4/5 microwaved bowl entrees. Not sure what time it's available till.

Trip was fun. Unfortunately the lines to get on a table were super long and they weren’t doing a great job of getting players to seats. Took two hours to get a 2/5 seat early afternoon. Clearly hurting for dealers. Hopefully they can sort it out.

I flew in from Chicago, weeknight 2/5 games have mostly been beyond boring chopfests, and you can’t really drink much at the table because the ladies come around so infrequently during peak hours. I guess that’s a good thing at $8 for a Heineken. I honestly can’t believe this is the same place I’ve heard some many things about. Maybe it’ll get better on the weekend, Jeeeez

I'll say it again, but yes the 2/5 games are not nearly what they were pre covid and it's not because of the series in town... Also hoping they don't implement a mask mandate in poker room

Yeah more solid players not necessarily mega crushers and the fish are tighter.

I must admit I did end up playing in some great games during the series, but in my case a lot of the crazy action was during the degen hours, like 3am to 9am. The evening games you kinda gotta table select, and the other regs are doing the same, but there is certainly action to be found. Not so humblebrag, started off down 3-4 grand, getting coolered at boring nitty tables, ready to fly home lol, then went on a mega heater, playing marathon sessions till way into the next day, drinking, running up stacks, was up 18k at one point, finished up 15k. All 2/5 Poker is not dead

The dealer shortage in S. Fla PRs has been mentioned frequently over the past few months but the situation does not seem to have improved.

As per Bravo, at noon today the SHRH had 5 tables open, i. e., 3 1/2, 1 2/5, and 1 5/5 plo.. The waiting list totaled 105, including 37 1/2, 17 2/2 plo, and 31 2/5.

At 1:30 there were 8 tables open, i. e., 4 1/2, 1 5/5 5 card plo, and 3 2/5. The waiting list totaled 97, including 32 1/2, 28 2/2 plo, 14 2/5, and 13 5/10.

i got there a week ago today around 4PM and there was an 8 person WL for 1/2 (which went rather quick). Later on, the daily $150 was jam packed and there didn't seem to be any shortage of dealers at all. there were 230 entrants IIRC

There was a $250 tourney at 11 am with a $30K guarantee on the day you posted. I don't know how many players entered that tourney, but based on the guarantee it's fair to assume that at noon, the poker room had at least a dozen tournament tables running in addition to the cash games you saw on bravo.

Question for anyone in Florida!

Does anyone know if the games in Tampa or Jacksonville are any better possibly? My wife and I are thinking of moving to Florida, and what I hear from the Seminole Hard Rock posts lately, it doesn't sound too good! We are a little more attracted to the Tampa, Jacksonville area in terms of living, anyone know how the Poker compares in those areas?

Re: Tampa, pre covid the 2/5 were considerably worse than Holly. Don't know if that's still accurate fwiw.

I’d say the standard of play is a bit more loose passive in Tampa, but you have less people that blast off like in Hollywood

Does Hollywood HR use no flop no drop or do they rake when you steal the blinds? Are uncalled bets included in pot size calc?
Seminole Hard Rock (Hollywood, FL) Quote

It's no flop no drop for house rake. However, they will drop $1for the jackpot/promo fund if the pot calc is $10 or more.

Thanks for that answer. Are uncalled bets included in the “pot calc”?

IOW, 2-5, UTG makes $25 and it folds around. Is pot $7 or $32 w.r.t. jackpot/promo drop?

Some dealers will take the $1 JP drop, some won't. Definitely dependent on dealer and player involved even though It shouldnt be that way obv

Using your example, the pot calc is $12 and $1 will be dropped.

The SB and BB total 7. And the first $5 out of the $25 raise is included to make it $12.

Thanks. PFR also.

While I understand this logic, definitely how I am seen it handled in most NFND rooms. If they were consistent at least, but oh well games still easily soft enough to profit.
