How has the action been here? This thread seems to have died?

Has there been any action lately? I’ll be stopping by a week or or so before the main, any chance to get some 5/10 or 10/25 nlh while in Florida, or is it too dead to expect anything with everyone in Vegas? Bravo looks a little hit or miss from the little I’ve checked.

Hi, could someone please confirm for me that players between the ages of 18 and 21 can play poker in this establishment?

Confirmed. True for all the pari-mutuel cardrooms in Florida as well.

Is there a room rep on here? Please explain the rational behind the absurd new rule regarding table changes? Why would supposedly the best most player friendly room in town implement such rules in which we the player can no longer (supposedly) request specific tables when asking for a transfer?. Not only that, but then to be told if you don't like the table they send you to, you need to wait 30mins to ask for a transfer yet again. This is atrocious for people that take the game seriously or play for a living and actually care about game selection, yet there are a handful of nighttime regs that still sttempt, and sometimes get away sneaking into other tables on their own accord. If players are willing to wait for what they want and follow the rules why make these changes? I'm sure people playing for a living have expressed these same sentiments that I have in person as have. Is it because they want to take workload off of brushes which have only a couple specific jobs to do to begin with and catering to player table requests should be one of then.

Bump, as I'd like to know if any other major rooms have this same type of rule essentially not allowing players to chose their own table so long as they are balanced there should be no issue obv. Definitely cuts into winning players hourly and it's just absurd imo.

Protecting recreational players from bum hunting >>> your hourly rate

Choosing your own table change is not standard for poker rooms, Ive never seen it and ive done a decent amount of traveling the past six months.

So when recreational players want to change based on action at table no matter how many good players there are (because they generally don't care about table selection other than "action") should they be forced to play their 10 hours a month at terrible games given their limited availability to play or should the room do as much as possible to enhance their, and everyone's playing experience?

Recreational players tend to not worry about game selection, and good players always give them action. In my experience, the only people who regularly request a table changes are bad nitty regs who need to carefully game select to win, and the poker rooms shouldnt cater to them. Recreational players are who they cater too because the regs show up regardless.

It just creates a bad poker environment to let people jump around and bumhunt because that other table has an extra spot or 2. If you want a table change, then you get the next open seat. Dont like it, too bad, wait a dealer round and request another change to take the next open seat.

Its pretty rare that a room has no wait list and multiple tables with open seats where you can just ask the floor to change to table X.

I know multiple people who play exclusively in this room making 10bb+/hr who are not nits who game select and we're doing it before these new rules so you're wrong as far as only bad nits essentially care about what table they are on IMO and IME. I would have no problem waiting for the particular table I want, but for this to be some new rule for this casino all the sudden is more puzzling, other rooms in the area will allow game selection.

So go play in one of those other rooms in the area that is more conducive to your game. Problem solved.

This poker room and casino offers poor customer service. This affects my poker game negatively. I’ve seen a high roller thrown out of this poker room for very small things by a “manager” on a power trip. I’ve had a dealer deal me out because I didn’t stack my chips up quick enough as I was eating. This place may look good but you’d be better off at Magic City.

I was here last week. I was getting ready to leave in a couple hands so I racked up. They wouldn't allow me to play even one hand with chips in the rack. WTF?

This is just one of the many reasons that I could list as to why I hardly ever play here.

Has anyone played in the PLO8, Horse etc type tourneys here like the ones coming up this week? I'd love it if you'd share your experience.

Also any recs on cheaper type hotels that are decent would be appreciated. Thinking of renting an RV van for the week at ~$100 / night, but I'd prefer a decent hotel.

How is the PLO action here? Seems to be the only place within an hour of Pompano that consistently runs omaha. Games are good?

Also, hows 2/5 or 5/10 play here in comparison to the Isle?

Casinos are NOT in business to provide you with a "hourly". Casinos make money from YOU, not the reverse. Always been that way, and will remain as such.

They pride themselves on being super player friendly, they have no problems getting games 24/7 365 with also the biggest player pool by far in the state so why does that have any relevelancy

Anyone have photos of the new room? Any chance this will open before the grand opening date next month?

I have spoken to a couple of people who have seen it and they said it was nice.

Why would anyone waste their time playing in bad games? Glad to know about this rule. If it stays in place, I will never visit this room. Through being able to choose ones own table, and directing other action players to same table, we have had 1/3 NL games in Niagara where 4-5 players have 15-20k combined, and opening bets are 25-40 preflop. Imagine being used to that, and the next day being forced to play in the BOT nit game, where the opening bets are 6-15 pre, and average stack is 75BB.
