That's what I've usually seen. Last 2 times there, it's been terrible. I bought in for 1k, the other 8 came in with 200. Absolutely no action. They opened a 3rd table, I got a table change, same thing, 8 $200 buy ins and my 1k. The thrid table had an average stack of about $200 as well. Wondering if the free food is attracting the nits and destroying the action.

The WPT regional issue goes to a general suspicion about the integrity of this property.

Botswami, if you have ever played at STAX you would have no suspicions. We try to be as informative as we can with all our promotions and tournaments. If you have a legitimate concern regarding anything Poker related at STAX Poker Lounge, I would be more than glad to address them with you in person. Our room is known for being extremely poker friendly; our promotions far exceed those of any other room with our volume of player and our Tournament rake has the lowest around.

Pablo, I have played there. I've had no issues with anything in particular during my play there. But sneaking in an extra 2 percent rake on your tournaments in the fine print and publishing a deceptive buy-in structure is sleazy and raises doubts about what other kinds of fast ones you're pulling.

Botswami, The text size in the entire booklet is the same and it’s on every page of the booklet. I would like to know why you would consider that fine print. Fine print is considerably smaller! Please explain to me where the sneaky part is?

Arguing about the size of the fine print and not the issue of skimming 2% itself is not going to help you win any battles, Pablo.

dozer, I think I stated very clearly in my past post why and how things are the way they are. Unfortunately Botswami is posting on two different threads and you might not have caught my previous answers. As Lord_Strife wrote in a past post there is a separate thread for WPT regional related comments or concerns and we should attempt to keep it that way. I am not here to fight or win any battles I am simply here to help clarify or answer questions regarding the poker room.

Im sure that offering free food and drinks is not something that will kill action in the games. Its just one extra thing we give the players. Not all games will play the same as you all know. I would love to play in a room that fed me for free, gave me free drinks, and comped me for my play on top. stax can def say there are the only room in south florida that does that. Especially for 2-5nl. you can talk to any of our regulars high limit or low limit and they will tell you we are always accomodating. Come in and we will prove it to you.

The free food thing is new and it definitely isn't affecting the action lol. The same people are playing there, just certain times of the day you'll have more of the nitty players it's like that everywhere.

Northwest corner of the regular parking lot, NOT the parking garage.

I do park in the garage and make a bee line through the casino to the elevator. I don't leave smelling like smoke. BIG PLUS.

if you park in the west lot and walk past the main casino entrtance toward the valet there is a small door that allows you to enter directly next to the elevators to the room. But all points of entrance have a fairly direct path to the room. The upcoming tournamnet series will be played the 1st-10th in the pavilion and that is easily accessed through the west entrance also. Located to the right of the new first street deli.

Hey I thought those doors were emergency entrance/exit doors and couldn't be used.

I use the garage. Levels 3 and 4 are always crowded, if you go to level 5, can usually get a spot within 15 seconds walking distance to the elevator. I then make a beeline for the poker room elevators, passing the cigar place. Total time exposed to nasty casino smell is probably 20 seconds. I've heard the outdoor parking is a nightmare.

they have installed some massive smoke eaters with the expansion. i guess i dont notice it after all the years. thankfully the room is secluded and 100% non smoking and almost all points of access are quick entry to the elevators. The door that dozer refers to is the best poa to not deal with the casino floor.

Used it last week. Parked in the Northern-most row in the west lot, took a 4 minute walk to the door, felt like I was entering through a secret entrance, was in an elevator 5 seconds later.

Then I sat at a table full of nits and old people for four hours and was grinded down, switching tables three times in the process. Zero action players at the Creek.

Why can't your room provide the structure sheets online for the WPT tournament series?

A simple PDF would help tremendously!
