Well, there was some pointing and some 'a wall will go here' so I don't have this nailed. But I think it will be like it used to be at the Creek poker room -- walk out of the room to have a smoke, but not leave the floor (bad for business). I think it might be a smoking room like in airports// glassed-in, or partially glassed-in.

Make sure to look into our "play to qualify" fifty thousand dollar promotion.
Pablo,

Its the end of the week and no new information appears on the poker room website. Do you have a link we can go to?

Guest that smoke will have their own designated smoking area. Non-smokers will no longer need to walk through smoke to get into the Poker Room.

Due to construction delays we moved the soft opening to the 31st of October. Promotions will however start as of the 28th of October.

How come you guys didn't take the buying limit from the Hardrock (600 for 2/5 and 2000 for 5/10), but you took the worst of it by taking a rake for jackpot when there's no flop? How is this supposed to bring the bigger games from the isle?

Ouch. I hope the parking garages over there open soon. As it is now, parking is impossible and line at the valet was very very long. I haven't been able to get in there yet because I didn't want to deal with the parking situation.

my father said the same thing yesterday, he said the valet line must have been a half hour wait so he ended up going to the Isles.

Hire more valet workers while this construction is going on or they will continue to lose business.

Should be a nice place to play: It will be in the new part of the building and should be easy to get to when the new garage opens. Smoking area is just outside the room, and food and drink will be easier.

Long-term, could be big tournaments, but in the area that's now 'the Site,' which will eventually be a concert hall/// so they could do a big event thing and keep the regular play going.
Hey Nick!
Read your column all the time, kinda sad I wasn't chosen for your BJ tournament but its all good.

About the room, I'm happy about all the changes going on and it seems to me the room will be more comfy to play in. I hope the promos turn out to be as good or better than Hard Rock Hollywood.

make your 1/2 buy in 100-300, 2/5 300-1000 and 5/10 500-2000 and you will steal more action from the isle IMO.

The buy-ins for all our poker games can be modified. If we have enough interest in any game with a particular buy-in we will spread it.

We had a few players request a 5-10 no limit game with a $500 min - $2,000 max yesterday and today. The game is currently going if you want to get on the waiting list call 954-283-2874

Pablo,

Got a chance to meet you last time I was in Florida playing at Coconut Creek. You were a gentleman and a scholar and I wish you noting but continued success with your poker room. You seemed to be passionate and really care about what I had to say and that is a recipe for a great poker room manager and I am sure you will have one of the most competitive rooms in SoFla in no time. Can't wait to get back down so I can play there again. I will be sure and say hi

I was the guy with the Eagles hat on

I have only been to this place 1 time about 2 years ago. And I must say it was a weird group of people that play there.

Im not sure if I can explain it but I have played a bunch of poker rooms all over the US and the group of people in that room seemed different than the average players you see.

For one thing there was a guy trying to egg someone on so hard to get in a fight and they play with each other all the time.
Then there was a guy that was in the military and would not stop talking about his fighting skills and that if anyone in the poker room messed with him he would kick their ass, thats all the guy would talk about for hours.

I have got confirmation from others about my views of this room, sorry If this is your favorite room.

I have played at the Creek several sporadically over the past few years, and I've never noticed anything remarkably different about the people who play here.

What an odd, weird statement for someone who played here once about two years ago.

Does this number work? I tried calling this morning and it didn't even ring so I went to the Isles.

Yeah Ron 99% of your posts are reasonable and informative but this one is very odd. Someone must have hijacked your account imo.

You went to one poker room one time back in 2009 and decided to post a blanket statement about a room.

I saw this room for the first time today. I parked in the big lot across the street from the valet-side entrance, where probably about 30 cars were waiting in line. A long, long walk from my car to the casino entrance, and then walked across the smoke-stenched casino to the opposite side, through an inside construction area, up an elevator and finally to the room.

I got to the room about 2 p.m. There were about three $1/2 NLHE games going ($50-$200 buy-in), one or two $2/5 games, a few $1/2 and $2/2 LHE games and an interest list for $1/2 and $5/5 PLO, with one or two names on the lists. I can't remember if there was a $5/10 or not, but I don't think so. The PLO games did not get going for the two hours I was there.

Nice room, nice new tables, comfortable chairs. I sat at 1/2 for awhile, they play nine-handed at tables with 10 cup holders. So it's very comfortable. It's pretty quiet in there (unlike the Isle and other places where all the background noise and constant P.A. announcements can get annoying).

Nice room, but it's such a hassle to get to it. One of the dealers told me the parking garage when completed will open right next to the room, but it's not scheduled to be ready until January. So in the meantime, make sure you wear your walking shoes if you want to come here to play, because it's a long, long walk from wherever you park right now.

That "weird group of people" carried over to the new room....the games are action filled with people who like to gamble it up....

Always been a fan of the Isle for the comfort, not the action (or should I say lack of) , but this new room has all the comfort, better service, and the games are action action action .........

Checked out the new room yesterday, nice place, stayed for several hours. Very responsive to the players. When I got there I joined the interest list for 2-4 limit, and played straight 2 for a while. The 2-4 finally started up and after an orbit or two, most agreed to switch it to Omaha/8. Had a lot of Isle regulars as well as Isle personnel checking out the competition so it made for a very friendly game. The hourly Omaha high hand was an added bonus, especially with it being the only Omaha table going.

As it stands now, it is quite a long walk from the main casino to the elevator up to the new room...may want to have a cart standing by to ferry the less mobile patrons down those long corridors.

<3 the new room! unfortunately this room is well hidden like the last one so unless your looking for it most don't even know it exists.
hopefully they put up big well lite signs that can be seen from the slot machines/table games pointing you in the right direction.

that is the main reason the isle has a full room on most days, it's out in the open, everybody knows it's there.

promotions will definitely help fill the seats. (if they get the word out) looking at their website http://www.seminolecoconutcreekcasin...-florida-poker
they have a 50K freeroll if you play 130+hrs from Oct. 28 through Dec. 11.

i would think this tournament will have less than 100 players. does anyone know if the blind and payout structure are posted anywhere for the freeroll?
seems like nobody knows about this promotion. played a few hours today and when the dealer mentioned it, half the table was asking questions.

very nice room, played 2/5....would be great if the max buyin was higher than 500. I def think a 1000 buyin would create more action/attract more players from elsewhere. besides that beautiful place to play
