1-2 not 1-3
No plo or big limit games.

Hi Kelly. Can you tell me why when you table change you can't take your full stack if it is over the original max BI?

old question i know but that is standard everywhere. only way you can take more than max bi to new table is if table broke. this is standard everywhere, if you've encountered different rules somewhere else we'd be interested in hearing the story.

And the reasob for it, a player, fish, whale, lets call him pfw is at table 1 and which has a 1k cap buy-in is lucky-as-****. PFW has run up his stack to 5k, busting a couple of players in the process. He got his money in bad and hit river 3 times. Word is spreading. The 2nd largest stack at the table is only 1.5k. Effective stacks are only 1.5k or less. Nit pro local (npl) is sitting on a similat stack at another table and wants to come over. Two of his pals told him about the luck Seminole Casino Coconut Creek (Coconut Creek, FL) on table 1.

Any new player coming in is capped at 1k, it would not be fair to pfw to let a new player in that covers him, or buys in effectively for more than the cap.

Broken game players are not new players. Voluntary table changes are.

One of my customers, who is a dealer told me they will be opening up next week. She said they will have plexiglass barriers, will be six max, not using all the tables, and a dedicated cashier cage for the poker room.

I would like to play some PLO closer to where I live vs going to Hialeah or Mardi Gras.

Both of those places have multiple games running all day,,
Since I come from Palm Beach, that’s a drive,

Any reason those type games don’t run at Creek.

I always see an “interest list”, buy game rarely goes,
And if it does, dies…

Does it matte, if it’s
1,1,2
1,2,5
2,2,5

Same difference to me…

Don’t care the structure,
Can be 5/5/10

Come on, all money in before or after flop anyway…

I am goin to put my name on board every night, and if any of u want to join, welcome

Late bump but since I see Tiresman and Lursy are still both active here felt bump might be meaningful.

This is by no means standard everywhere. I am not positive but I believe regions are split on this three ways: cannot exceed max cap, must bring all chips and can bring over above cap or can go south your choice.

It sometimes depends on how/why player is moving. Ime for must move, most common is all chips must come. Broke table will often have most options. Where the rooms, again ime, very the most is on voluntary moves.

The idea that luck box deserves protection has some merit. But around here many consider all the x-y games are one big game. As such those folks feel all those chips ‘need’ to remain in play. Of course we also have match the stack so any player can top to match lockbox at anytime anyway. So that aspect is not part of the equation here.

The one thing I do know for sure is that max chips on a move is one rule where there is not even close to a standard everywhere rule.

There are two things to balance. One is to play deeper stack against other deep stack in the table you voluntarily move to. The other is some player do not want to play deeper stack. Personally, I think the status quo is fine. I feel making the game artificially deeper, may discourage more players than the few scenarios it helps a few regs.

To me, a good room is where more players are playing more variety of games. If we want to play deep, go play 5/10 or higher. But the current player pool does not support it.

So my 2c, keep it as it is.

Must moves and broken games are involunrary moves font punish thd one being moved. Voluntary move is different.

I agree not same everywhere, especially where they have match the stack rules, it would obviously make no sense.

What do you guys think of the continuation of top 10 type of promotion? I personally don't understand why its being done.

Only two 2/5 running on a Friday at 130 am. Not really helping.

From what I have seen. The player pool is shrinking. Rewarding regulars more is not the solution. The promotion should try to draw more players in, especially since it’s upstairs now.

Maybe lack of players and games is due to main event happening. But I feel the room could be better at promotions. Like give a ticket out to all high hands and 50hr play. Then have a satellite or a draw for seats. The last time they drew for a seat, the entire room was packed. Now you will just have 10 people there looking sheepish. So not sure if their marketing ROI.

There are a ton of people in Vegas for WSOP right now. The other thing is that the room is upstairs so the only people playing in the room are those who specifically went to Seminole to play poker. This move was terrible for the players as the slot/blackjack players aren’t walking past the room and jumping in like they used to do. So fewer regs and fewer rec players are going to result in fewer games regardless of promo.

Agree. This will be a problem that will continue to get worse as the momentum is downward. Get the feeling the room's management don't care about it, as they are focusing on sports betting. So they are willing to let the poker room run on cruise control..

The poker rooms in most casinos are strategically placed far away from the main floor and if possible in a location that won’t be passed by a non-poker casino goer while every poker player must pass by a bevy of table games and slots to get to and from the room. On my visits to Creek we had it good in an optimal location however you had to know that location wasn’t sustainable once the Seminoles received their full table game license.

Nice tournament they just had, well run.

I don’t play as much nowadays, when I do,
Strictly 1-2.,,,,

I want to play 2-5 or higher, however, the 2-5 game gets about 10 hands an hour,
wTF,

If you can’t call $150 on turn and $300 on river, call or fold,
Amazing the TV time

How is the action here? I've lived 2 minutes from here my whole life but never played since the room moved downstairs. Now I hear it's back upstairs (no smoking) and I'd be willing to check it out. I'd rather not drive 40 minutes to hollywood, though they do run regular PLO down there.

Games break sooner and not nearly as many. Seems to have turned into a promo room very quickly even since they moved upstairs away from the smoke. If you're seeing 4 2/5 games running chances are, just one and mayyyybeeee two are even worth it. 2/5 games here play much more shallow in general than HR.

I dont play the 2/5 because I dont have the time to invest.
