The new room opens here on Oct. 18. I'm looking forward to it, starting this thread to start contributing information as it becomes available. Should be some good competition for the Isle, especially for those who live in northern Broward and southern Palm Beach County.

I'll be trying to get some Omaha hi/low action established since the Isle doesn't seem all that interested in it any more. Drop a post here or PM me if you're interested.

This is what I'm hoping to do. I plan to go over there in the next couple or three days to get more information about the new room (can't find anything about it online) and hopefully talk to the manager about the possibility of promoting the 10/20 Omaha.

where is the room located. My one visit found it upstairs in a closet (practically)
It was terrible. Hope its down on the casino floor instead. Might as well have had it on the roof before

I think they are going to have 30 tables so I doubt it will be in a closet. They are doing a lot of construction over there so I am sure they have planned for ample space.

Promotions for the new room will be rolling out towards the end of October. There will be seperate promotions just for Omaha and Stud players.

There will be 30 tables in the new room and there will be a seperate designated room for smoking.

Just a suggestion but, you might want to roll out promotions when poker room opens to attract players and not 2-3 weeks later. IMHO, most players will not visit your poker room until they know what you got to offer them. Also, you might want to take a look at the Hollywood Hardrock promotions as a good starting point.

Thanks for the information Ill look into getting my title changed today.

We have plans to run limited tournaments for the initial soft opening towards the end of October "1 to 2" tournaments per week. Buy-ins and times will be posted at a later date.

Soft opening will be on October 21st.

Promotions for the new room will also be effective October 21st. They consist of; Aces cracked, per table high hand, room high hand, along with other varying promotions. Visit the Poker Room or go to our website towards the end of the week for more information.

Make sure to look into our "play to qualify" fifty thousand dollar promotion.

Hey, folks. I got a look at the room last week, w/ the GM Steve Bonner and other media (sorry I didn't meet you Pablo!).

Should be a nice place to play: It will be in the new part of the building and should be easy to get to when the new garage opens. Smoking area is just outside the room, and food and drink will be easier.

Long-term, could be big tournaments, but in the area that's now 'the Site,' which will eventually be a concert hall/// so they could do a big event thing and keep the regular play going.

Smoking area just outside the room? Meaning you have to walk through the smoking area to get into the room, like at the Hard Rock? Or does just outside mean something different?
