I had the second best high hand and won $200, but they were tracking the top 3 for some reason. Maybe they only pay 1 & 2 and kept the third hand just in case someone didn't claim the top two?

Good to have a backup if someone has to leave, or someone wins HH and they realize the person is playing underage when they get their ID. Wonder who that could have happened to? Maybe someone playing at Tulalip when they were 19? On ya that was me!

Yep, I know for a fact that's exactly what they do at Lil's.

Glad you enjoyed your experience there, by the way. I was in Vegas at the time, so I'm sorry we've managed to miss connections both at Bay 101 and here so far this year.

Hey all.

I will be a Seattleite in about a months time, living on the Eastside (most likely in Issaquah.)

I am coming from the bane of the poker world in Tennessee where there is essentially no options to just decide to play when I want.

So I am very excited to be heading to a place that has card rooms in a relatively close proximity. That being said, based on being in Issaquah, what are my best options for a card room. I prefer to play limit, 3/6 or 4/8, and O8B on occasion

Also any recs for best tournament options as well.

Was going to say Snoqualmie and/or Diamond Lil's, until I read your preferences. The answer now becomes Muckleshoot. Located in Auburn, about 30 miles south of Issaquah. Would also suggest Carribean Casino in Kirkland if you prefer a realaxed neighborhood(ie) type of a feel to the game. The Hideaway in Shoreline is good for that as well, although that's a brutal commute to and from Issaquah.

I use to live in issaquah myself. If you want to play limit take the back roads to diamond lil's. Do not get on 405 unless it's after 8pm due to traffic.

I haven't been to Sno in a while, but on my last few visits the LHE was not doing well. I think their main game(s) are the various buy-in spread-limit games.

Mucks has regular, strong, 3/6 and 4/8 LHE games, as well as LO8 at 4/8 and 15/30 stakes on weekends. They are also on the Bravo Poker Live app so you can check and see for yourself what's going at any given time.

master3004 included 4/8, so I don't understand ruling out Diamond Lil's. The 4/8 there is pretty reliable, almost round-the-clock, and it's a ton closer than the Muckleshoot. Of course it's grimy and the food sucks, so if that matters then it might be worth the drive to the Muck. And for Omaha, it's either the Muck or the Hideaway in Shoreline (reliable 3/6 full kill, Mondays 10/20 half kill).

It's a longer trip distance wise. Takes about 30 minutes with no traffic. Take issaquah-Hobart rd. to hwy 18. Take the auburn way exit. Just watch out for the state patrol on highway 18. I got 3 tickets on that road in a little over 2 year span.

Btw are you going to be living in the old part of issaquah or klahanie (sp?) If you have to drive down the hill I would just go to the Caribbean in Kirkland.

Last I heard, Sno was down to 3 tables? I think most of the poker room is now smoke free table games.

Are either the Muck or Diamond Lils smoke free? My wife likes the pit from time to time so we might hit Sno for that

Lil's is smoke free but it's also pit free.

That's ok. I tend to not like to mix the two. Is Muck smoke free as well?

Although I know this is the poker thread, I've been reading up on Seattle area bugs and you guys seem to have a ****ton of spiders. Any suggestions for keeping them out of your house/entryway/breezeway?

Muck poker is enclosed behind automatic glass doors, so the poker is totally smoke free.

Pay no mind to the spiders. They won't hurt you and they're good for the echo system. If you really need to kill one grab it w some tissue and flush it down the toilet.
