Does that even go? I didn't know people still played there. Where's the action on Aurora? Parker's / Hollywood / Hideaway?

Re: Seattle poker

Snoqualmie casino had 5 games of 5/10 spread limit going last night. 3 games were still left at 3am. That is crazy action for a Monday night.

How many casinos in the country had that much 5/10 action last night, probably only one, Commerce.

Re: Seattle poker

I was reading the last few pages and thought I'd clear up some stuff about muckleshoot tournaments.

Last I checked they had $65 buyins, monday through thursday night at 7pm (registration starts at 6pm) Monday and Tuesday were generally capped at 50 players, Wednesday 70 ppl, and Thursday was getting about 100. All muck tournaments are 10k chip, with the weeknight tourneys having 20 minute blind levels. It gets pretty ridiculous a couple hours in, but the 10K chips is pretty nice for the first hour or so.

When people say the house takes 15 out of 65, what they meant was that its 5 for the house, 5 for the dealers, and 5 for the 'royal flush pool'....so yeah, basically 15 for the house...

However, a couple months ago they did away with the royal flush pool, making it only 5+5 that they take, and started distributing the royal flush money by adding $500 to each nightly $65 donkament. This was a very popular change.

When they removed the royal flush pool and started adding 500, they had a huge influx of players, and actually had 110+ people on at least two thursdays I'm aware of.

I haven't been there in about a month so call before going in to make sure. Don't bother reading their website because its a cluttered piece of junk that is never updated, and I wouldn't trust anything it says. Generally Wed and Thurs nights were the good tourney nights at muck if you want a field close to or more than 100 players.

Also Freddies casino in fife (15 min southwest of muck) has 7pm tournies Sun, Mon, Tues nights at 7pm. Same $65 buyin but they only take $5 for the house and thats it. 10K chips just like muck, although only 15 min blinds, but its pretty much the same kind of thing. The players here also tended to be a little more clueless than the average muck tournament player (still very clueless). When I was playing these nightly I'd go to freddies sun/mon/tues and hit muck wed/thurs for the bigger ones.

Last I heard muck had a $20 unlimited rebuys on saturday mornings and a $225 on sunday with 30 min levels.

Re: Seattle poker

The best weekly tournament has to be the Thursday night tournament at Tulalip. Almost always gets around 100 players. $130 buyin and very favorable blinds/starting chips. tourney starts at 7:00pm and usually goes until 2am. Winner usually gets around $4000.

It's not as good as it sounds. Like all Tulalip tourneys, the blinds go up fast -- they usually double every 20 minutes. It starts out good but becomes a crapshoot exponentially fast.

I haven't specifically studied the tourney structure but since the tourney usually lasts around 7 hours I figure you get a decent amount of play. It is impossible to design a 1 day tournament that doesn't involve a crapshoot at the end however. Tell me of another weekly tournament that gets over 100 players and last more than 6 hours.

Re: Seattle poker

They've been playing $1-$3 blind $3-$100 spread at Clearwater Casino in Poulsbo/Bainbridge. Game goes at 7:30 Wed (after the first table of their weekly tourney gets busted), 7 on Fridays, and 6 Saturdays.

$500 max buy in. Been going til 3-ish am on Wednesdays, gone til at least 7am most Fridays.

Re: Seattle poker

Does 4-8 PLO go at the Muck on weekend afternoons (Sundays)? I'm thinking of heading down to play some HE & would be interested in that as well.

If so, what is the game like?

I'm guessing you mean Limit Omaha, and not Pot Limit? I don't see an Omaha game there very often, but then again, I'm not there very often.

I haven't been there in a few months but 4/8 O8 with a kill would run on Fridays/Saturdays starting in the early afternoon. Not sure about Sundays though. You would defiantly find the game on the first Sunday of the month because Muckleshoot runs a big promotion on those days.

Re: Seattle poker

Ended up playing 1-3 limit at the Muck Sunday afternoon--Omaha wasn't running (thank Lute). Gotta say that playing with the crowd of mostly nitty old guys was pretty dull and -EV for me. I really didn't think that I'd find a $10 buy in home HE tourney more fun than the casino, but ??? Prolly just sore that I went away with less than I started with... lol.

Re: Seattle poker

was that sarcasm? oh well. But I did say that I didn't know if Omaha ran on Sunday's. Also, I think you meant 3/6 limit (where the blinds are 1/3). By the way, with the rake that game is impossible to beat. The 4/8 with a kill is even hard to beat.

Re: Seattle poker

No sarcasm intended, just thanks---your information was spot-on.

Any particular day/time/game at the Muck, Snoqualmie or Tulalip when the tables aren't full of a bunch of grinders and folks hanging around for the bad beat jackpot?

Depends on what games your looking for. For spread limit:
Thursday nights at Tulalip are good. (1/3, 3/5, and 5/10)
Monday nights at Snoqualmie are good. (2/5 and 5/10)
First Sunday of the month at Muckleshoot is good action in most games because of their high hand promotions.

I'm not a big limit player but I hear Diamond Lil's has good action there. The only Omaha 8 or better I know of is Muckleshoots 4/8 with kill game that runs Friday/Saturday afternoon into evenings. (I haven't been there in a month but it use to run consistently on these days).

really good action at Silver Dollar last Friday. We had 2 3-100 games going and the games were pretty juicy. The 2nd game broke around 3:30 and we played till close in the last game.

I am looking for reviews of this tourney too. What is the fee? I know for the $65 they take absurd $15. Also what are the blind levels like? I know the last 30 minutes but what do they start at and do they double every round? Does this tourney sell out? Do I need to get there hours early to register? What does first place usually play?

How does this tourney compare to the money $165 at the Little Creek?

THANKS!
I played the $225 at Muckleshoot in December 2009 and there were about 65 players. The blinds started at 25-50 but that may have changed to 50-100.

The reason i think it may have changed is because sometime this summer they changed level 1 for the $65 tourney to 50-100. The result? From Level 3 to 5, short stacks outnumber the big stacks and there is an all in frenzy. I'm shocked to hear that they are raking $15. I play this one at least 3 times a month.

I just heard about the clearwater casino classic. It's basically ten minutes from the ferry terminal on bainbridge. They have a stair stepped structure that I'd love to try.
