Strange- I thought only 3/6 players hit Monte Carlos and BBJs there =)

Haven't seen it mentioned (may have missed it), but Muck finally has a door closing it off from the smoky pit games. Not a fan of the way they installed it though- I always park out front and hook a hard left into the room and to the brush- I have almost walked into the non-moving part of the door a couple times already. Still, it is nice to block the smoke. Now I wish they would use the doors directly to the parking lot so I could avoid the smoke altogether...still no idea why they installed those doors and then quit using them immediately. I guess they are tougher for security or something?

I agree about the door. I can't stand breathing smoke, and the door does a decent job at blocking some of the casino smoke. I wish they'd lighten the room soon, too. It's dark and drab.

My understanding on the doors is that it goes back to the days of expansion.

Recall that several years ago they added on to the physical size of the room, the “tournament area”, tables 19+, to reclaim the “biggest poker room in the state” moniker. As it was told to me at the time, by someone that seemed to be in the know (poker room staff)…

The doors were already in the design, as a poker room only entrance. And there were different design/layout plans for the room itself.

Through building code regulations, tribal spirit laws, or whatever, it was determined that all entrances to the casino must be general purpose (cannot be just for the poker room). Anyone that’s been there knows you wouldn’t want casino patrons entering there, navigating the entire room just to get out the other side into the casino. And thus, the “emergency exit only” plan was hatched.

That also makes sense why there is not a separate, family-friendly entrance for the buffet. Seems odd to see small kids in line for the restaurant, 20 ft. away from smokers playing slot machines.

and since I have muck on the mind -

What's up with their daily tourneys lately?

I've been out of state for awhile, hadn't played there in 6+ months, but have played a few tournaments the last couple weeks.

1) where'd everybody go?
Mon-Tue tourneys use to be 40+ runners.
Wed - 70'ish consistently
Thu - 100+
Based on the last few I've played, the numbers are way, way down.

2) (and could this be related to #1?)
Whats up with the new(?) TD?
Just on casual observation I have a laundry list of complaints there, though he seems technically proficient. Slowness (like way too long to make change for a 100), and somewhat inane/obnoxious chatter seem to be the biggest issue.
the awesome TD I remember from before now seems to be Floor in the main room. Good for her, I suppose, probably a promotion, but ugh! for the tournaments.

Hey guys

I'm in town for just tonight... I've been to Muckleshoot before and was thinking of checking out Tulalip. Do they run any low limit PLO (1/2 or 2/5)?

How's the NLHE cash there (again, low limits)?

5/5 PLO and 5/10 HA run on occasion, not sure if they have set nights. Typically 2-3 tables of 3/5 spread.

No NL?

the max bet is $500 according to WA state tribal gaming law. For the 1/3 spread and 3/5 spread this doesn't come into play very often and these games play just like no limit. The only thing that may be different is there is a 3 raise max on every street. This comes into play sometimes, especially preflop.

Yup, MinRaze is correct. Also be aware that for tribals the max bet for any raise is $500, the mini-casinos (non-Indian) have a lower max raise of $100 for poker.

Worst game imaginable is still that 2-8 game...

That game is so hilariously constructed. Rake is laughable on it.

Had a decent session at Tulalip.... played the 1/3 game for about 3 hours, up 1 1/2 buyins.

Pretty nice room, nicer than Muckleshoot for sure.

When were you up there? I was playing 3/5 last night and will be there tonight too.

Got there about 6:30 or so, watched (rooted) the end of the World Series while playing 1/3. Left around 10pm.

I was at the first table on the left when you walk in, right in front of the cage.

Dear Seattle Area Poker Rooms,
You will have to survive the next few weeks without my rake as Battlefield 3 will own my life for at least that period. Hope to see you in the future.

What's the status of the games these days? As in, what's running on the Aurora strip?

2-40 and 4-100 at Club Hollywood.

Hideaway has 3-20 and 2-100 holdem, 3-6 Omaha h/l and 8/16 horse.
