I wonder if Dragon has plans to bring the MTT's back on Sundays. They were pretty good. Also weren't there rumor that Quil Ceda may get a poker room. Anyone hear anything?

If any room operators are out there, nothing beats a 200-500 dollar MTT at the end of the month...

Simple guess is that math doesn’t work for small buy-in MTT operating out of 15-table room.

I haven’t played in awhile, is there still a dealer shortage and i assume games will soft over Memorial Day weekend?

Still the same issue. I don’t think people realize that dealers can make almost 6-figure.

I didn’t know.

It does make me re-think about how much I tip though.

I'm visiting Seattle next week and will staying with family in north Seattle Tues-Thur. What are my best options in terms of cardrooms, particularly that will have NL running midday/afternoon?

Won't be too far from Red Dragon, where I've played before, but interested in venturing to a new place or two if possible, too.

Fortune poker is your other main option for no limit that I’m aware of, they pretty much always have 1-3 and 3-5 NL. It’ll be a farther drive than red dragon

Kirkland is much closer and Caribbean spreads daily with 2 tables.

I have a hard time playing at RD with the $7 rake and $1 for a 10oz bottle of shitty water. You’d think they would at least give you free drinks. I would tip the waitress if the drinks were complimentary. At least water and soda.

Where are the good house games within the city limits?

Who would want your nitty ass in their home game?

You don't tip servers if you have to pay for your food/beverage?

Chill out dude. It is ridiculous.

Water used to be free and drink were a lot cheaper.

It's crazy that dealers can make $50/hr and call players cheap.

I assure you I would never say that about tipping a dealer. Dealers don't run and fetch **** for you.

Also, just want to add that I verbally said thank you for every toke I got in my dealing career. Very appreciative.

Right, dealers are high and almighty making the big bucks.

Waitresses run and fetch for people.

Therefore dealers can tell players to tip the poor waitresses.

Both players and waitresses are getting screwed when they raise the price of drinks and food.

That's just it.

Lol. Never remotely suggested dealers are high and mighty. Your words. Many (mostly table games dealers) are among the most self-entitled people I've met, and its pretty awful.

My point is that servers are for more deserving of that buck or two than dealers. They are quite literally running and fetching stuff.

So if you go to a restaurant, its reasonable to not tip the server because you had to pay for your meal? Ridiculous.

I personally would not pay $1 for a small water, but if I did I would certainly tip the person who went out of their way to grab it and bring it to me.

I agree with this.

I know a whopping two things about the poster. 1) He is complaining about rake which is not higher than the area standard (assuming 5+2 or 4+3), and 2) he doesn't tip waitresses because the drinks aren't free.

Is that someone you want in your game? Could very well be that he is, but based on that alone its a no.

I don't understand why you have an opinion about players speaking about Red Dragon.

How is this relevant to you?

You somehow extrapolated my comment to being a comment on RD's business practice.

I agree that paying for water at a casino is terrible, as it would be to pay for tap water at a restaurant.

My only aim with my comment is that not tipping your server because the food/beverage isn't free is a poor, nitty practice. I don't give a **** which 1 of the millions of establishments in the world this might take place.

I have never once spoken up that someone should tip a dealer, or tip them more. Servers are actually performing minor labor for you.

Considering how the original post was about RD's business practice, I thought perhaps you were voicing your opinion about RD's practice.

But it turns out, you were just defending a poor waitress and mocking a guy who wouldn't tip for a bottle of water.

All that from a guy who doesn't even play in these rooms.

Oh btw, and this is completely irrelevant (but that goes with the theme in this conversation), do you tip every time a waiter fills your water in a restaurant?

No, I tip in a lump sum at the end like everyone else.

Do you tip based on number of times your water cup is filled, or each trip they make to your table?

Spoiler:
No one does. So not sure why you think restaurant is a comparable reference or that everyone should tip 100% for the cost of the drink.

Lol. If the poster in question tipped a 5 at the end of the night, that would be equivalent. Don't think he's doing it.

I think we're best off agreeing to disagree. Your points (like this last thing) are irrelevant.

You frequently take my posts to mean something that isn't in the words. Why would you think I'm talking about Red Dragons business when I didn't mention them at all? Just because it was mentioned in the post I was I replying to doesn't mean that's what I'm talking about.
