I was reading back a few posts to just kinda review...
I'm glad you brought this up. The first time I read it I overlooked it as it had no meaning to me. Flash forward to now, after playing there last Sunday, and the way they run these high hands is really stupid and open for angles. I basically lost money and would have had one had I known the promo and how people angle it.
I had Q's full of 9's, not a great hand, but they are giving away high hands every
half hour , as opposed to every 2 hours where I have been playing recently. An ok promo, with a decent chance of winning. However, they have an ever-running clock. They DO NOT call out "last hand for high hands" or anything like that. After the pot is shipped to me I proceed to have no less than 3 players tell me I should have "held my hand" for another 5 seconds or so, as that would have put me in the next half hour. So, my hand was no good for the half hour that was current/ending, but I got caught in some sort of black hole of time? The regs and anglers* apparently do this often. Well, thanks for telling me
after the fact guys....
My hand held for the next half hour and even thought it was only $100 it kinda tilted me. It wasn't just that, they also said there was a tournament when I called the floor on the phone the night before to ask. Well there was no tourney and and the current floor tells me it's only the last Sunday and they don't have tourneys on Sundays etc etc. Apparently they have a "Super Sunday" where they give out $500 HH's every half hour, and the room fills. That's 30+ tables I was told. Sounds great, but can only imagine how that's run lol.
Anyway the place was dead (I think 3 NL$5's and 1 4/8 limit), the high hand thing was tilting (they really need to fix that and call out "last hand in this block") and their monte carlo board sucked also. It's only for SF wheels and RF's and SF wheels are worth 100 (lol) then 500 after they are hit once, so they have to be hit twice in a day to have any value I guess). The Royals were 500, then 5k. The 5k is not bad I guess, but again has to be hit twice.
I used to like the muck years ago, but I give last Sunday's trip (my first in years) a C-. Just not worth the trip, IMO, guys...if this is indicative of a normal Sunday there.
End of rant/TR of Muck for Sunday 7-17-2011

Reason: *They arn't really anglers, as it's the casino that has the stupid lack of rules
