I've played at RD a fair amount. I don't think the LO8 game is going daily at the Hideaway post-reopening. It's very hit and miss which games are going, although Big O on Tues/Thurs/Sat seems pretty consistent I think.

Last nights Andrew Neeeme + Brad Owen Meet Up Game at Redbird's Hideaway had a really great showing.

The event started at 6:00 pm and they had about 6 tables of 2/5 hold em going for several hours (started winding down around 1 am) .. they also had their usual 8/16 HORSE mixed game going through the nite.

The crowd that came was very friendly and just about everyone came to gamble, most tables ran a $10 stradle on a majority of the hands, and several tables were also doing bomb pots at every dealer change. -- made for some nice big pots.

I really hope that the hideaway can get a steady stream of games going and survive their re-open. The new owners have done quite a bit of work to clean up the place, i tried their burger and think its the best card-room burger in seattle.

I might have shown up if I knew they had a HORSE game, although 8/16 is a bit too small to justify the drive.

I think the burger was $12 (I got the California Buger , included avocado, and bacon) and i got the tater tots with it instead of fries.

tots were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft towards the center.

I’m waiting for a seat at red dragon. 9 tables going as the app says.
$45 PLO tourney every Friday at 7pm for those interested. I’d like to see more of that. Tourneys are great for Omaha and Omaha is great for poker.

None of those tourney players will ever play cash PLO, the same reason why 99% of the morning donkament players just walk out the door the moment they're done with the tourney.

They can control and manage their losses easier.

Exactly my point. I play both. Whatever generates action.

$45 plo tournament sounds fun, getting to RD after work in the Friday afternoon rush hour seems stressful but possible.

I get home around 530 to west seattle from DT. One half hour to walk the dog and decompress, then right into I5 downtown mess... but i have no idea how the northern commute past downtown in MLT at 6 on a Friday... might as well go to Fortune as i know what I'm getting into traffic wise

No food discount at Redbirds... I'd like to play the Friday mix game but doing that trip on Friday just to be put on a waiting list.. mise well Fortune. If RB had tables listed online..

I commute from Southcenter Mall area to Everett daily and often go to Fortune to wait traffic out. Traffic improves if I leave Fortune by 6pm and by 6:30 there is a very minimal slowdown if any.

I made it to RD in time to have 25bb. Made it to the money! 100 bucks for 3rd woo!

The drive was easy.

16 buy ins, one table. Pretty soft play.

MINI Red Dragon TRIP REPORT

One table of 4/8 Omaha at the red dragon. Started playing after i busted the PLO tourney for 3rd, around 10pm. Got two hi hands (runs till midnite, advantage: RD), including rivering a 7s to make a 9 hi straight flush. That was crazy!

The drop is 4/3. $1 premium over Fortune. RD Monte Carlo board is better. Spade Royals $1,000, others $499. Any straight flush $100, quad tens+ $50, quad in hand $200, flop a royal 5k/$500. No bad beat

Word is the chicken wangs are salty. Diet cola is good. 8oz mini water bottles are strange and off-putting. Coffee seemed better than Fortune.

Bathrooms less stinky than Fortune, better airflow. Or maybe the north end crowd knows how to aim better.

Not many people drinking. Someday I may try the food... probably not though, I asked a reg and they say it doesn't compare to Fortune at all.

There's a Wendy's 5 minutes away as well.

RD doesn't have the Eric Moon rule - you get 3 missed blinds before they pick you up.

I'm curious how this would work. Do you table your hand pre-flop or announce JP and ask them to set aside your hand as you fold? Surely you don't have to play to the end of the hand do you. It just seems like an odd Jackpot to have.

Its $499 at Fortune. Assuming they set the hand aside.

Have people gotten robbed at Fortune? I'm told they don't have any security and it could be a bit dicey around the area. Makes me hesitant to try there. That and the $300 max bet, I guess.

No you’re not going to get robbed outside of Fortune. Why do people continue to ask the same dumb questions over and over in this thread?

So this weekend I witnessed first hand I guy run up a stack to 17k playing 1-3 at Carribean. He started Friday night and played for over 24hrs straight through til late Saturday. The most impressive part was he was drinking hard for at least the last 11hrs of his session and bought every single drink in the room for the last 6. Pretty sure if I gave a brief description of him you’d know who he was. I’ve played w him a bunch and he’s quite a character.

Pretty sure it was 2/5 and that it’s standard for him to drink heavily and play for 24+ hour long sessions.

He also says whatever he wants, slow the game down to a screeching halt, but because he tips a lot and gives good action, everyone acts like his best friend.

It’s a sad part of poker.

Does his name rhyme with Gilard?

No, but interestingly they both have similar physique and like to sing out loud at the table.

The other player does also play in Fortune but definitely has deeper pocket.

I thought I knew who you were talking about, now I'm certain. Ive only played with him twice, and actually find him pretty damn funny, I could see how many may not though. The action is a huge plus.
