Our daily tournaments are $50 with $40 going to the prize pool, $5 to the house, and $5 shared by the dealers. Those run at 10am and 8pm on weekdays (late reg and re-entry until the start of level 5). We get a lot of compliments on the structure for a low buy-in. It's better than a turbo but I wouldn't call it a deep stack. Those usually run 3-4 hours and get 20-30 runners. On Saturdays at 10am we run a $100 deep stack with $500 added to the prize pool.
How big is the field for the Saturday $100 typically?

I wonder if Muckleshoot will pick up the 5/10 since it's the closest location-wise... I'd love to see it move to Fortune, but not sure about the legalities since they're not tribal. I never played in the 5/10, but Im guessing it had to abide by the $500 per bet rule... seems like it could get weird at those stakes.

Yes, or $300 for nontribals, which would make it quite weird at Fortune.

Re: Seattle

There are some obvious reasons why it's not in Muck in the first place. If a non-tribal is to replace it, location wise, it would make most sense in Caribbean, and some of the 5/10 regs have already played occasionally there.

Just opened PokerAtlas for first time in forever. I see 5 names on a 1/3 interest list at Muck. Has that game been going?

Is Caribbean not bound by the same $300/bet rule that Fortune is?

Re: Seattle

Who is going to submit the petition to the gambling commission to increase the bet to 500 per street at class 3 rooms?

Someone please submit, link the item here, and then when it's on the monthly agenda we can all send comments in.

Re: Seattle

My priority is getting them to stop using Hoyle's Rules of Games as a reference book for poker. I don't really have strong opinions on a $300 versus $500 limit, but it's not obvious to me that letting terrible players blow through their money faster is necessary good for the game.

Cardrooms offering baccarat and pai gow would have far more interest in this. Hasnt happened.

Not exactly sure that is the case. Rarely ever see any "high" rollers in non-tribal. Plus you can still bet more than $300 by betting multiple spots.

I don't see a lot of incentives for non-tribal to push beyond $300 as much as it did when the cap was at $100.

Re: Seattle

by at least having it higher it makes them on a par with tribal so high rollers are much more likely to play there even if they arent betting the limits.

Rumor has it they will NOT be giving the money back to the players, rather dispersing it however they please through slots and pit games. Excuse me while my blood begins to boil and I burst into flames....

Re: Seattle

They don't stop taking the jackpot funds for another two weeks, plan to end a promotion 10 hours early, and still plan to have money left over to put into "an alternate in-house progressive game"? So sketchy that they would be allowed to do that.

Re: Seattle

since the jackpot money came from poker pots that means each poker player has a vested interest in the jackpots at least ones that raise up in price from the rake. if its moved to someplace else then it is stealing.

it would be no different than if the states decided to take all the money when the lottery gets too high and move it to the homeless or something like that.

since they are removing poker they probably feel that they have no reason to put that money back into poker but use it for other benefits for them.

(1) If licensees discontinue a PSJ, they must distribute the balance, less any seed money, to players within sixty days by offering an approved promotion or tournament of the same card game played to fund the PSJ.

Re: Seattle

Guys, guys. The attention of the gaming authorities is fully taken up by protecting us from the pervasive kudzu-like influence of rogue poker variants not in the 1979 edition of Hoyle, a book of card games revered around kitchen tables worldwide. You can't seriously think they have bandwidth to prevent tribal casinos from stealing poker money to use for house-banked games, not with all the other important things they have on their plate. It's all about what keeps us safe.

I'm speculating here,,,,but is Sno regulated by WA.gov rules? I assume Sno is under tribal law....
