Re: Seattle poker
The 5/10 actually runs quite often at Muckleshoot, sometimes on a daily basis if there are players signing up for it.

Re: Seattle poker
As for Omaha, there is supposed to be a regular game at The Hideaway.

As for soft limit games, I like the Caribbean in Kirkland. Some good players, but lots of gamblers out to just have fun...

Also, I had no idea that Parker's was at all worth checking out. After reading this thread, I'll have to check it out.

Re: Seattle poker
You are among the chip leaders at the final table in a tournament and the offer is made to equally 'chop the pot.' What formula and advice do you have for a counter-offer if you don't want to continue play? IMO the obvious answer of applying a little less than my percent of the total chips to the purse will never fly. So what works?
At today's Saturday morning Tulalip NL tournament the payout was a 10 way equal chop. The top-ten final table was formed. Before a hand was played, Mr. Le proposed the equal chop. The one and only clear chip leader was drunk. The drunk agreed and so did everyone else. Being in 7th or 8th place, this was a 'no brainer' for me. The blinds and antes were huge. My stack was 4.5X BB. Were I the chip leader and not in the mood to play, what is a reasonable counter-offer?

Re: Seattle poker
Gotta give it to Tulalip for never having a final table played out or something like that... 10way chops are just moronic.

Squeezer (me) gets busted 8 out of the money.
Perhaps the house should also post an ad for a new dealer or two...

Re: Seattle poker
dealers do strange things lots of times and do take hands into the muck. i have even seen them try to take them right out of a players hand. so if you want to protect your hand hold onto it for dear life. it may even help to place sharp objects on top of your cards to deter them .

Re: Seattle poker
One cause behind the bad-dealing at the Tulalip are the t.v. games. One of the best dealers is transformed into a klutz when his team, the Lakers, are on the tube. Was your dealer watching television instead of the hands?

"Was your dealer watching television instead of the hands? "
Yeah, I know who you mean. In this instance, I think it more a combination of it being late Sunday night, bored with full day of on/off again tourney dealing and the kid being one of the younger and less experienced dealers.

Ha! Yeah, there's a number of dealers there that I feel like I need to watch like a hawk, even when I'm not in a hand.

Why don't you go somewhere else though?
Sadly I often feel the same way when I go to Muckleshoot.

Pretty slow/weak for the most part. Most of the time they only have 2 3/5 games. I don't get a chance to play very often though, but that's what it looks like when I make it down there.

Re: Seattle poker
I dont get why at the Muck on a Sat night there's far more 4/8 games going than 3/5.... I wonder if they are one of the few big casinos in America where you get more LIMIT action on a Sat night than no limit... plus they are so slow at putting a player to a table with a vacant seat... very often someone gets up and leaves at a table and it takes almost 10min for the knowledge that there's an empty seat to go from the dealer to the person at the front... if you're on the list and you're not there to make sure it happens straight away it's just another unnecessary 10min added to your wait, and if the wait is long then every single time someone leaves that's another 5-10min unnecessary wait added to when you are called...

Re: Seattle poker
Recently they've been spreading a "HA" game at Tulalip. 5/5 PLO and 5/10 NL. 500 min 2k max 15k+ on the table quite often. I have heard multiple players at this table inquire about basic Omaha rules and was wondering if anyone has played in this game and has an opinion, as I've almost moved over there a couple of times.

Hideaway is back open? I was playing at Goldie's across the way the day after the Hideaway closed (soon after Washington banned smoking in public places). All the talk was about the closing. Apparently under Washington law all of the jackpot/bonus money has to be dispersed before closing, so they were running crazy bonuses and gave away a ton of money.

Mr X. is not that bad is he, from all accounts he is beating the games. I played with him on many occasions, i think hes a decent player. Although I do think he is smart not to play the 5/10, I have never seen him or head of him in the game
