I have not heard anywhere else that Hideaway is closing. Why would they?
They're not WA Gold.

IMO the "powers that be" at the Tulalip would love to decommit again from poker or even exit the poker business. Would not be shocked to see the existing poker room downsized again for the love of slots.

Has there ever been a push to have the "no poker in Seattle city limits" law removed? Does anyone know the background on how this law was passed originally?

Don't know, they're implimenting changes based off feedback. 1/3 is increasing to a $300 buyin, 3/5 will be up to $1000. It's a start.

Well what games are going to be spread, dammit!

I was excited and slowly scrolling down reading that post, and then it ended with some high hand stuff. Sad.

Just out of curiosity, where did you see these details? I have checked their website but nothing yet has been posted.

https://red-dragon-casino-mountlake.com/games/

I'm a little disappointed with the proposed high hand promotion, as it pales in comparison to Fortune:

Fortune =12k in high hands per day.
Red Dragon = 7.8k (on days where afternoon high hand is $400).

Also, it seems odd to run two different tournaments early in the day...

Any ideas for how many tables they are going to have and what limits they are planning to spread?

That was the flyer they were distributing at club hollywood. I heard they are starting with 3-100 spread limit. I think they're trying to emulate Fortune. We'll know for sure soon.

I only see one tourney mentioned in the post, the daily $45.

With regard to high hand promotions, this is regaulated by the gaming commision so really the two casinos are relatively equal. Both must pay out what they take in less an administrative fee. I'm sure a start up is not going to have the volume of hands dealt per hour that Fortune has, but should Red Dragon build up reserves (via the jp rake) that Fortune does, they will be distributing comparable payouts. Which is not to say there aren't ways to judge which JP structure might be more beneficial to your style of play and hours at the table.

Proximity and travel costs would probably amount to a bigger difference than your expected value at the two JP programs.

The original post noted NLHE Tournaments at 9 and 12pm.

Regards to HH, that makes sense, thanks for the input

3-100, not 3-300?

Hollywood used to run a 3-100 a few years back and the Royal was running a 3-300 AFAIK.

Personally, I'd like to see a 3-300 game with some additional fixed limit games. That said, Washington Gold management makes some questionable business decisions when it comes to poker, so I am not going to hold my breath.
