Anyone ever play any tourney's out at the Caribbean in Kirkland? Was gonna go with some buddies to check out some of the daily mtt's they run. Also anyone know what the cash games are like there? The few times ive been there they were only running 2/5 nl w/ a $500 max bet and like 4 tables of 2/5 limit.

Hmmmm. Last time I was there they didn't have any spread limit going, just 3-6. This was last summer though, before the betting limits changed for non-indian cardrooms. Never played a tourney there. I would characterize the place as a smallish neighborhood casino. Regular recreational players mostly. Dim lighting.

how would carribean have a 2/5nl 500max, aren't they on non-tribal land so their jurisdiction caps the single max bet at 40 or 100?

max bet for non-tribal poker is $100. It was $40 for a long time though. I've never palyed poker at carribean, just call them and ask them what they spread and which days at what times.

benjammin509 is correct, it's basically a smalltime neighborhood casino with lots of locals.

Here's their calendar: http://www.casino-caribbean.net/kirkland/calendar.html

I've played pretty often during the last 6-12 months at the carribean and as far as I know its all 3-6 4-8 limit games going on

On another note anyone with experience or knowledge of the LO8 games feel free to respond

1. whats the fish to regular ratio like?
2. is there a big edge compared to the lower limit games being spread
3. any other comments or thoughts would be much appreciated

on a completely different note

which 18+ casinos have the juciest/most consistent spread limit games

For 18+, shoreline is your best choice imho. Parkers and The Hideaway both have decent LO8 games spreading pretty often. As for the reg to fish ratio, it depends but if ur a decent (read as tight) player u should do fine

Club Hollywood (also in Shoreline) has been spreading 2-100 a bunch lately, pretty much every friday night and occasionally other nights. The regs are all pretty bad and barely better than the fish. Easy money.

Damn guys, there is a really great tournament tomorrow morning at Tulalip and I only found out about it now as I just so happen to check around and see if there were any tournaments coming up in the Seattle area. It's a "Mega super stack" they are giving 40k in chips! (30 min rounds) $550 buy in. So sick because I would snap play this and that size stack is unheard of for this area, or any area really. I'm going to need to do a better job of checking around but I am subscribed to this thread and no one here mentioned it either This is why I'm posting, I'm gonna tell of a tournament I did hear of and hopefully it will help someone like me who is kind of out of the loop and gets the majority of his info from 2+2.

I just got off the phone with a TD at Tulalip and found out about an even bigger tournament at the end of March. I'm currently looking for in-print info but I don't see any on their site yet besides the mention of it. The TD did say it's going to be in CardPlayer though. This is called the "Pro Challenge No Limit Hold'em Tournament" and it's a 1k (plus entry fee, which I'm sorry I forgot how much he said the juice is) with 15k in chips and 40 min rounds. The "final" day has 60 min rounds.

It's a 4 day event, 24th, 25th, 26th, and 27th. Now, the way this works is the first 3 days are all "day 1's" and the 27th is the "final day". They are allowing for a re-entry if you bust a day one and there's a day one left to play, so essentially, you can have up to 3 chances at this tournament. Each day 1 takes up to 250 players. The theme being a "pro challenge" they said there's going to be a bunch of "pro's". He specifically mentioned guys like the grinder are coming (Michael Mizrachi) and I get the feeling Tulalip's bringing in these guys.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to this and hoping to find some more info and if anyone see's or hears anything please PM me, it would be appreciated.

try priceline.com or expedia.com or hotels.com You usually get a better rate than just calling them.

If you're coming this weekend you are in luck. Tulalip is running a big 4 day tournament and there should be some very good cash game action because of it. And if you have an extra $1100 you can buyin to the tourney on Thur./Fri./or Sat. morning 11am. Day 2 for those who qualify (top 24 from each day 1) is on Sunday.

Had just over 100 players for day 1A. They played until about 8pm ish to the top 24. Pretty good cash game action. Lot of 1/3 nl and 3/5 nls. 1 5/10 nl and 1 5/10 HA (half holdem, half PLO). Probably going to get more players for the tournament on Fri and Sat.

Hey guys, kind of a lurker (haven't played online/posted in about 1-2 years), but recently moved to this area and been trying to get back into live poker. Been sticking to Muckleshoot for the last 3 weeks, and it's been going well; just wondering if you guys think it's worth it to try out the other rooms around here (Tulalip, Sno, etc.)? I'm almost exclusively a cash game player, and probably feel most comfortable at 2/5 or 3/5... actually, noob question, do they have 2-5 at the other places? That extra dollar in the SB is annoying for some reason.

Also, shot in the dark, was anyone at Muckleshoot this past weekend? I was in a 3/5 game that got pretty deep, and there were about 3-4 players at my table who were also on the list for 5/10. Eventually, they asked everyone at the table if we wanted to make it 5/10, and since everyone else said yes, I decided to go along with it (hate breaking up good games or annoying losing players), even though I'd literally never played 5/10 in my life (actually, not 100% accurate, since I've drunk- and/or tilt-flipped my roll at least twice at 5/10 or 10/20 online, back in the day). Worked out well for me I guess (up $3.1K on the night), but wondering if you guys think it was a bad idea to agree to raising the stakes in the first place, given my inexperience (and also the fact that I'm hella under-rolled for 5/10)?

no strat in B&M!

seriously though, it depends on how good the game is, and how much losing your buy-in will affect your roll and your mental state.
