Aye, sorry to post yet again but I wanted to respond to something else Kyle brought up.

Sno's poker room does give out pretty good comps. Let's just say you should never have to pay for a meal as long as you play at least a couple hours per visit. What is really sick is on Sundays the casino gives out 6x points from like 12pm-6pm I think. Anyway, this added up really fast in the poker room. I think I only played like a couple hours hours or so and had $38 worth of food. They have a deli that's decent and allow take out too, so again, food will never be an issue and adds some extra value to the trip.

The main thing I wanted to tell you though is that the players reward club mails you a book of coupons each month or so that is worth real cash. No play requirements etc, simply take it to the cashier with your ID and they give you cash. They also have days where you can collect 2x the amount you normally would, meaning some of these coupons overlap or are "bonus cash".

I think I played some slots once the first time I went there and I wasn't betting huge but I wasn't betting small either, probably 1/3 of the max on average , maybe a little less. Anyway, just because of that one day they started sending me $30 cash vouchers. They also gave me the overlapping ones for a bonus $30 so I was getting $60 cash just to show up.

I have to admit, I went at least once to just get a free buffet and my $60 bucks. I don't live far from it and lol at me turning down a free dinner and $60 bucks. Well, that was over a year ago and I've not played slots since and I still get vouchers. They started to go down in value after a few months but after a year, I'm just now at $10 (meaning I can get $20 on the bonus days). My friend also gets them, $10 dollars, and he plays the minimum, like .20cent a pull and wont lose more than 10-20 bucks a trip but they send him free money.

So anyway make sure you sign up for the players club and soon it will at least pay for the extra gas you are expending by going there, as if the games aren't enough reason , this at least makes you feel pretty good about going as you are already up the min you walk in the door.

Muck games aren't very good IMO, aside from the dead 30-60 O8 game that used to run. (Man, that game was good.)

Grinding North Seattle, bleh. Games are actually dead there from what I've seen.

Yeah, back when it was all limit up there, I played a ton. I came after the Hideaway was closed, so I didn't get here for that action (moved here 5 years ago), but Parker's was running 4 tables of 9-18 consistently with a huge wait list and awesome games. Later when they played 10-20 HORSE, it was even better.

Remember Goldie's 10/20 $2 rake game? It was pretty good too, though ultimately it failed to get traffic away from Parker's.

I'll check out Sno sometime. Do they run PLO ever?
For Sno, Monday night has good 5/10 NL action. Tuesday night has a 5/5 No Limit Omaha high game that can be good.

Yup.

Edit: The betting is pot limit in the omaha game though, not NL. The $500 max raise still applies obv.

One qualified for the Tulalip Bubble Tournament by being 'on the bubble' for a tournament payout. For example, the Tulalip Saturday tournament pays the top 10 places. Take 11th and you won a seat at the Bubble Tournament.

Ah, gotcha. I thought it was a weird shootout format someone told me about before...

Ah ok. Kinda sucks, I am pretty busy Tuesdays. Was hoping otherwise. Does it run super late? I could get there around 9:30 PM, for example.

How is the game? Good? Deep stacks? Wait list?

I moved from Seattle about 6 months ago and the PLO action was still very good, though it was slowing down a bit from it's peak when it was spreading 3-5 days a week. When i was last there the game ranged from good to phenomenal depending on the lineup and who was winning or losing. Probably the best PLO game in the country at the time(just a guess, I don't have much live PLO experience aside from Seattle). I'd be interested in seeing how it is now when i get back that way.

Oh and be warned, the game is HUGE. There were 10k winners and losers most nights.

Sure, the 5/10 NLH and 5/5 PLO @ Snoqualmie are not hard to beat, but they are still among the toughest in the country believe it or not. Try getting on a 5/10 table at Borgata any night of the week, or Commerce, or Bellagio on the weekends, and you'll never want to play 5/10 in Seattle ever in your life again.

Holy ****, Goldie's took out their poker tables? How long ago? Goldie's was the first place I played poker; won a $1200 Monte Carlo in a 1-2 limit beginners game and never looked back. Played there nearly every day summer and fall of 03. Good games, free $8 food comp just for sitting down.

Anyone know where some of the staff ended up, if anywhere? They had some great, personable dealers.

The night floorman (Asian, I know this doesn't help) was the head poker floor over at Parker's as of a few months ago. Not sure anymore, but I imagine he's still there.

Parker's dealers were always good. Never had any complaints about them - fast, professional, and mostly quiet. Lots of them played, too, which is obviously good for other reasons.

Parker's food comp is good too. Little more stingy now, but I think it's $8 now. Used to be any meal, which was super nice.

Kind of helps at Goldie's, actually, from when I played. All the floors were white except for the Asian guy who played a ton of golf and was actually the room manager for a while, and an Asian night floorman, could be same guy, whose name I don't remember.

It's been so long I've actually forgotten all their names. Only names I remember are Connie (loud female Asian dealer) and Ben, big white bald guy.

9:30 is fine. They've been known to go all night. Deep stacks don't make too much difference w/ the $500 max bet, but sure WTF. You see them occassionally. I've never waited too long for a game there. It's harder to get a seat at the sushi bar IMO.
Thu night action is at Tulalip. Sometimes 5/5 PLO, but usually 5/10 NL. Slower than usual due to LAPC now.

about a year ago. it's pretty much a baccarat room now, but they still have the best double deck bj game in the area. i didn't play there enough to know the dealers.

DDBJ good there? Surprising. It was very bad for a long time when I was playing on a regular basis.

i don't play anywhere else. only $10-$300, but you can double down any 2. i've played there many times, sometimes over an hour, and never gotten heat. i've seen other counters blatantly increasing their bets on the last hand and again, no heat.

the one guy who did get kicked out was sitting on 3rd base and drunkenly demanding everyone show him their cards. the one non-counter at the table kept trying to tell him why it didn't matter. he was so drunk he just kept arguing with her. the dealer didn't even care about the occasional card flashing, but the guy just wouldn't shut up.

Is the Tulalip Poker Pro $1k tourny not happening this year? Thought it was an annual thing now that happened in early march, but just checked their website and didn't see anything about it.

LOL I want to hear. Goldies hand shuffles, which is good because they only deal half the shoe.

The shuffle tracking will have to wait for another day, but High Tie was -6% ROI in a neutral shoe and gained about 3.1% ROI per point of TC using High/Low. Suited blackjacks, blackjacks, pairs, and suited pairs paid money. I think you can see where this is going. The sidebet was way more profitable than the regular bet. It got destroyed in about 4 months time at Red Dragon and Parker's.

It is - they are holding satellites for it now. Not sure of the actual date yet though. I'm sure if you just call the poker room and ask though they'll tell you.
