Muckleshoot = 100,000 (they are building a backup jackpot which is at 70,000 right now so that if the 100k hits then it will reset at 70k instead of them making the main BBJ a progressive one)
Tulalip = 36,000 atm

Any reports from Tulalip $500 LSOM tourney, or Muckleshoot $250 Deepstack? Curious of number of entries and how long to finish up. Thanks in advance.

Reports are that size of room has impacted Tulalip's LSOM tourney and that there are fewer entries than previous room.

Muck has a huge room and entries are not limited by number of tables.

I would assume that Muck is better if you are looking for bigger tourney.

109 entrants in the Tulalip LSOM yesterday first place paid $16.5k.
The Muckleshoot tourneys actually draw less than 100 runners usually even though they have more capacity. Unless its the Fall/Spring Classic then the Muk is better for tourneys but that is only twice per year. I showed up to the Tulalip tourney 15 minutes after it started and got seated right away.

Does the entire Tul tournament take place it the new room?

The new poker room is located close to the entrance to the hotel from the casino.

Just stopped at MUck on my recent road trip.

An endless supply of guys who stupidly talk at the table about how they're poker pros.

But each one of them were terrible at poker.

That's what headphones are for. Were the games at least good?

Yeah somewhere between ok and good. There were some major nits, as well as some fish, and a remarkable absence strong players IMO.

I really like that 3/5 is the smallest game offered here. In many other regions and rooms that's the biggest game offered, so the lineups at that level are often much tougher. And it's a great poker room. And the current high hand promotions are the best type of promotions a room can possibly run, since it continually adds money to the tables.

Uhhhmmm, you do understand that this money they "continually added to the table" is only 90 cents of every dollar that they continually remove from the table don't you.

Ummmm, and you do understand that high hand aside, rake is constant?

So it is still adding the high hand to the table, 100% of the times.

My point is that this type of promotion is so much better than the places that just have some nearly impossible BBJ that hits once a year, and never puts any money back on the table. Once a year somebody hits it, the game stops, and then everybody leaves with their money, and most players never even get to experience this.

Typical rake in North America is 5+1. Muck has 3+3 if I observed correctly. As long as you aren't playing all $30 pots this is going to be much better. When a floorperson comes by and drops off money to a player at the table this has a positive effect on the game.

Promotions that hit regularly and put money back on the table are the best type, and this is what Muck has. Kudos to them.

I asked and observed when I was there, and the JP drop was definitely 3, at least during the hours I was there.

Sorry you had that experience. I'm a semi regular here and would agree there are hardly any good regs at all. Although I've tracked a lot less hours this year as I have a full time job and moved an hour south of Auburn this year. You can make some decent cash in the 3/5 game I've made $40 an hour over my last 1k hours here.

Why would you be sorry he had that experience? That's like exactly what I'm looking for every time I sit down.

Bad players is good yes.

But yapping about how your a pro isn't good for the game, even if any legit pro can tell you can't possibly be one.

A smart pro would never honestly answer the question "what do you do for a living" at the table. It's bad for business.

Is there any low tournaments going on this weekend NLT $100 or under. Preferably south of ballard and north of tacoma? CG in the same area with BI $200 or under?

Hideaway has $100 Sunday tourney which is pretty good. Might be a little out of your distance range tho.
