Even if they dont worth making your way their. Ive had 3 trips where I have beat their 4-8lhe game for 1k+ and their 2-40slh for 800+ a couple times. Then this year I final table bubbled their main event satty.

Amen. They spread 1-5 NL: Wed, Friday and Saturday are best bets. During the week it is hit & miss whether they even have game going though.

If you can handle the lowest form of suck-out limit poker in Western Washington, try the All Star Lanes & Casino in Silverdale. The food comps are good. The wait can be long. This is a locals hang-out so be careful in the parking lot if you have a good night.

What about emerald queen? Do they have a poker room? If so, how is it?

Also is there going to be action at all these places every day? I'd hate to drive out there in a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, etc and see an empty room.

any and all 3-6. 4-8 game is like that. Bowling alley pokerooms and small casinos are the worst. But not by much compared to the rest of all live limit poker

Emerald Queen has not had a poker room for about 10 years. Muckleshoot will not be empty no matter when you go.

Last time I was there they had a 1-3 100 max spread game going and 5-10 limit. Pretty reasonable place, I would go back if it wasn't such a drive from where I am at.

10 racks in one session is definitely running good...and then some.

Helps that with the right players in the game (and the right dealers and floor) we can get 6+ playing overs... $4-$8-$16-$16 makes for big pots.

An update for locals who don't track the website or play much at Muckleshoot: the BBJ is up to over $100k. It seems to be keeping the room pretty busy.

Also, if you're interested in a big Monte Carlo board (or like to play with people who do) and like to play small spread limit ($2/$10), Roxy's has brought back the quads on theirs. Now they've got quads, straight & royal flush, daily double & triple hit, and high hands every two hours. Oh, and "happy hour" quads which pay like $200. Rake + drop is still the same $3 + $2 as before.

The wife and I are considering moving to Seattle. I used to deal there (Clearwater Casino, 1996-2001.) What's the state of poker in Western Washington now? I've searched the forums but nothing has been updated in awhile.

I'm moving from Vegas and I'm looking forward to dealing fast moving, limit games again.

Wife and I aren't sure which part of Western Washington we'll move to, but I'm leaning towards being back in Kitsap Co. and commuting south to the Tacoma area card rooms while I finish my schooling.

Thanks for any updates and news.

Whoops. Guess i didn't search that hard (think I was searching Lakewood, specifically)

I'm specifically looking for information on _dealing_ in Washington, rather than playing. Any Washington state dealers here?

Terrible. I know a very good one who can't find a job at all, and the state of live poker is pretty dead up north. (Shoreline area.)

i don't know what to think re: shorline. while goldie's took out all their poker tables, parker's added 10 more. the max bet was recently raised to $100, opening up a little more action. on the other hand, the games are not recreational like they used to be. used to be 6 players out of 10 were just there to hit a bad beat jackpot and play pai gow. now it's bet sizing, player tendencies, and pot odds in casual conversation.

maybe that doesn't answer your question about dealers either. i know it's a tight job market because i hardly ever see a new face dealing. and those i do see are probably asian, yea.

if you look good in skimpy clothes, try localprivategame dot com. almost safe for work.

When I play 20-40 at Diamond Lil's, it's usually on a Friday or Saturday night, but I ocassionally have a free evening during the week where I could play if I wanted to. Anyone have an accurate idea of how often the 20-40 runs (and if it does is it just the nitty, TAG regs) on weeknights. The floorpeople seem to suggest it goes every night, but I don't really trust them. The other players I've asked have given me conflicting stories.

Anyone know what 20-40 is like on a typical night.

20-40 runs constantly on the weekends at Lil's with decent action and somewhat often during the week. Games are pretty bad during the week, and I'm sure you've had bad table draws on the weekend.

This is what I was afraid of. At least on Friday/Sat night I can find tables that are beatable.

Yeah, games are usually good, but I've had plenty of bad draws on the weekend. It's only worse during the week.

Me too. Even on the weekends, when it's easier than normal, it's still the hardest 20-40 I've played (by a lot).

best place to play imo is Snoqualmie, there are always a few people ready to just give it away.

also just heard at Snoqualmie, one of better tournament players locally has won the Saturday tournament 3 straight times! Sure its only a $60 dollar tournament with 90-100 players, but winning the same live tourny 3 weeks in a row isnt something to scoff at.

I only played that once, but I remembered it being a pushfest when it got down to two tables or so. Which either makes that much more or much less impressive.
