Haha, true enough, I guess I was trying to take a more positive spin.

You of course are right. I was more just commenting on the average table dynamics of course, no one's great. Which is why i have a decent shot haha so good for me

Pretty interesting to me that the average table seems weaker than a $11 mtt online.

Since you are talking about daily donkaments, which I haven't played in ages. What are the best options around here? I'm curious

I haven't played in the nightlies yet at Muckleshoot, due to traffic etc.. I only try to get down there during the day or on weekends.

Silver Dollar, are you talking about the one in Renton? I've only played at the one in Mill Creek.

For the morning weekday tournaments I haven't seen much difference in traffic based on casino size.

The Sunday $60 at Caribbean gets about 40-50 runners and the $60 at Tulalip about the same most Sundays.

For the dailies I would just try to find something that's close to where you live, but keep an eye on Muckleshoot/Tulalip ( I use the Bravo live poker app) They run bigger tourneys on specific weekend days every month.

Hey guys, random Seattleite here..

We're running a 25/50 OE each Friday at 8pm @ Muckleshoot. The game started going weekly about 6 weeks ago and fills up each time it runs. We tried doing it Saturday's as well but it proved to be a little too weak for twice a week. It's a full kill (50/100) assuming a scoop with a flop seen in Omaha, and 4th street at least for stud.

They drop $3 9-8 handed, $2 7-6 handed, $1 5 handed or less. And no psj.

For you hold em players, I see 7-8 games of 3/5 every Friday too.

Just to clarify its stud 8 and Omaha 8....rotated per dealer change.

So if you bet on 4th st and take it down you have to kill it(which also constitutes the bring in) on the next hand?

Almost 40 runners. Room itself is small but not bad. Non smoking in the entire building.

I was at the muck friday & saturday last weekend and the 3/5 tables were plentiful (7 or 8) and the games good. Late on Saturday i had a guy at my table going in once per about every three hands and was reloading with a huge pile of black chips in his pocket.

Haven't seen it that busy in awhile, though i admit i play much less than i used to. Either the economy is improving or everyone was out with their tax refund money.

Ya it's kinda lame when you pickup a small pot and have to post but the 1-2 chip structure gets boring otherwise.

I didn't know such a room existed, Silver Dollar in Renton. What cash games do they play? And will also inquire again which games are played at Palace Poker in Tukwila.

Not much from what I saw. 4/8 game ran while the tourney was going. Only 4 tables. To be fair, I was there on a Saturday morning so no idea what their regular spread is or if they get an NL game going. It's a small room, attached to a bingo hall, and having about 10 pit games. The tourney was fun, but the structure was bad. A little over 2.5 hours for 40 runners.

Wait, so is it common to have the pot HU or 3-h and taken down on the flop? For this game to not degenerate, that would need to be a rare occurrence.

Otherwise, preflop/3rd street should degenerate into a game of Chicken. The open-raiser is threatening everyone else: "Go ahead, call or reraise me--and we'll both bleed equity to the rest of the table by taking a flop and posting almost half our pot as a kill." You would need a substantially better hand than the opener's range to accept this offer.

Chicken might be fun for game theorists, and it works in multi-seat sats where there's the excitement of winning a prize. (Part of why it works is because the schmo with pocket jacks just can't resist snapping off the bully, creating equity for everyone else not involved in the hand.) Chicken doesn't sound very healthy for a sustainable cash game.

And as Loopshot noted above, when the stud kill picks up an ace, that's terrible for action.

Therefore, I hope there's enough loose action that HU pots don't happen often. Is there?

Well they definitely don't get an NL game going. This is not a WA semantics thing either. No small cardrooms can do better than a 2-100.

Hi guys, Just for reference on the upcoming Muckleshoot Spring Poker Classic, I decided to look at last years to get a sense of size.

300$ Omaha/8 = 101 runners chopped HU for 8k

300$ NLHE = 280 runners 22k to first

500$ NLHE = 245 runners 35k first

750$ NLHE = 201 runners 42k first

This year they added a $200 NLHE tourney as well.

100% playing the 300$, hoping to play the $500 as well.

I've found that almost any time it just says O/8 on a schedule it indicates limit

"Texas gambler accused of robbing Marysville bank"

"...The suspect said that he flew from Texas to Seattle last week because he heard the area had good casinos. He said he lost all of his money playing poker and then slept on a park bench."

I have had some bad nights at the Tulalip but nothing like this.

Sounds like he knew what he was doing the whole way, bringing guns with him from Texas to try to "fix things" after his horrible play. Welcome to prison - and you thought grinding it out at the tables was boring!
