Not sure what you’re talking about.

That describes a perfect day in Texas and Florida: sunny, poker, cruises, freedom.

I might actually go play now that the state is requiring the face masks. I was worried I would be the ass hole to ask others at the table to put their mask on. If it's state mandate I would assume all the poker rooms would enforce everyone wearing a mask and I wouldn't have to ask others.

To assume...

I've never been to a poker room that enforced rules equally to all their players

Do you wear gloves? What do you do when you come home? Do you take your mask off and throw it away?

Not judging you either way but it seems if you don't follow more procedures than just wearing a mask it isn't doing anything. The most likely way to avoid Covid is to stay isolated.

I don't plan on going to Fortune for months myself. Feel sorry for the dealers and servers but saving myself a lot of money.

Good luck

FWIW, the consensus now is that transmission through surface contact is not the main form of transmission: https://www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2...nsmission.html

Face mask is aimed to lower the chance of spreading person to person.

This lockdown has been the greatest thing to ever happen to my poker life. If not for quarantine I’d have never discovered PokerBros. May never step foot in Fortune again.

Do you play same stakes in the app as you do live?

Mostly no. 1-2 online plays way bigger than 1-3 live.

Ive found that to be completely opposite.

1/3 live you got 5 players putting in 5 bbs. That NEVER happens online.

That’s one way of looking at it. I’ll I know is it’s much easier to win/lose 1k in a day playing 1-2 online than it is playing 1-3 live.

Why hasn't anybody opened a speakeasy/old NYC-style legal poker club in downtown Seattle? Feels like something that should exist, excuse my ignorance for why there isn't one, I'm pretty young and new to this poker ****.

Additionally, I think people should about the possibilities for poker in the post-covid future. I saw some comments earlier in this thread that talked about poker fading. I think a ton of young people have were turned onto the game, at least in the online realm, when bars and sports shut down. At least that's been the experience with me and my buddies

Card rooms are not legal in Seattle city limits. I imagine that is the reason there are not any.

Probably the most obvious and predictable answer possible lmao.

Such a horrendous law considering how libertarian the social legislation is here. I imagine there were some pretty cool underground clubs back in the day though. Seattle-style Molly’s game with the techies would be fun to run

There are certainly some good private games out there but not underground poker clubs NYC style. There were some backroom games at bars etc. during the boom and one underground club type set up on capitol hill, but I'm not aware of any that are currently going. The capitol hill game got wrapped up in a drug investigation and was shut down by the police.

1,2 online is bigger than live as far as what you might win or lose. one reason is you play more hands in a session. the big however is that live you should win almost every time you play. less of course but over time it adds up to more.

Gen Z might develop interest in online poker, but live poker is a whole different animal.

Can Gen Z even sit still for 30 minutes?

If this thread is any indication, they don’t even have the attention span to put together a coherent sentence.

Setting COVID concerns aside for a moment, it seems the live experience is very different now. I believe all the local rooms are using the 7-seat Plexiglass cubicles with masks required. I've never played that way, though I've observed it on Brad Owen's recent vlog. Wonder if those that have tried it might comment on the experience.

Is there any conversation? Problems with sightlines? Rules adjustments? Did you have fun?

I've been playing that way at Bellagio. I personally kinda like it. Rubbing up against my neighbors was never my favorite part of playing.

I think I'd def appreciate the defined personal space.

Did players have trouble communicating with each other and the dealer?

Lol, I respect the take but I genuinely hope a adderalled-out college kid puts you on full tilt in the near future.

By running around the table in half circles?

Probably wouldn’t take much from Gen Z to put me on tilt. Your lack of grammar already got me tilted.
