Here’s one more annoyance for us to guff about: Fortune floors playing in their own games when the hourly hand promo ev gets huge or a fish filled 1/3 table appears and of course not at other times. IMO managers playing in their own poker rooms should be banned (but never will be by the inept WA gaming commission) because their job is to enforce a fair game, and more importantly plan a fair promo structure. Profiting from that promo structure is awful. I would do the same thing if I worked there, and that’s why customers need to call it out. It’s not helpfully starting games it’s taking money we all pay and deserve back.
ABC -- just for clarification, we only allow on-duty floor supervisors to play in an effort to start games during periods of increasing business (mornings and early afternoons) or to keep games from breaking and leaving guests without a seat.
More importantly, when they do play, they are not eligible to qualify for any of the jackpots/Monte Carlo/High Hands. That does put them at a substantial disadvantage as the PSJ funds are removed from all pots regardless of who eventually wins them. But the bottom line to guests is that (we/)they contribute to the PSJ, but cannot participate in the payouts. Those funds are reserved for our guests (and employees who choose to play while off the clock.)
