Comp is actually pretty nice at $1.00 an hour. There is food service at the table. A burger and fries is roughly 10.95....there is a Wendy's less than a mile away though!

Mostly 1-2NL & 3/6 Limit. There were two or three tables of 2/5NL throughout the day. Interest lists for much higher games, but with only 12 tables I doubt they'll actually ever run.

Jumbo cards are easier to identify when they flash. Also you need to pull them farther off the table to check hole cards which makes them much easier to peek for opponents.

Why? No rebuy from dealers is the standard in most places I thought... although I guess they do expect to have this changed as there is no other reason for such large racks.

Other complaints:

1. The ends of the tables have no foot room whatsoever. They have some very nice woodwork hiding the table legs, however this means there is no room for ones legs. I couldn't belly up as my knees hit the woodwork.

2. The footrail is wayyyy too high

3. Those drink holders are sooo tilting. I predict they all disappear in short order.

4. I didn't win a single hand in 2 hours, boo hoo for me

Personally the foot room was the only real issue. Having to sit back from the table and lean forward every time I wanted to act was just annoying.

What buy-ins are they using for the 1-2 NL and 2-5 NL games? I know someone posted earlier that a lot of people had bought in with $100 or so. That leads me to think the total buy-in might be $200 instead of the $300 used in Atlantic City.

I'm curious to see what the wait times are like this week and at less-busy hours (like early am).

Buy-in for 2/5 was 100-500. Dunno about 1/2.

Which reminds me, you don't need to post to get into NL games???

Limit you do need to post.

It's $300.

It varies from place to place. Yesterday, some dealers were making players post, some weren't. I expect that the "rule" is that you won't have to.

The question I have is, does the BBJ attract the kinds of players that could make your efforts to cover the rake, workable?

Bremen, what's the standard in AC? I would think the amounts are so insignificant, that posting seems almost pointless to enforce.

how are the waitlists in the evening during the week so far, i am trying to decide whether to come check it out later this week after work, or saturday afternoon. But if its 90+ people on the waitlists there is no point to go out there.

So waitlist times around 7pm during the week, and any news on the waitlists on early morning weekends like 8am would be appreciated

or maybe just sunday really early and try to beat everyone else out there

In AC you need to post to get into all games. As for being insignificant I saw one person leave before their blind came after doubling up.

At 1:45 pm all tables are filled, with 2 2/5nl games. 1 2/4 fl. Rest 1/2 nl. Lists are small.

I occasionally play 2/5 NL and 5/10 NL at Taj and Borgata and I am almost certain you don't have to post to get in. However, I believe you do post to get in at LHE, at least at Taj. It seems like the rule is don't post in NL, post in LHE, just as the Sands seems to be doing it.

For NL, Borgata you have to post, Taj you don't the last time I played.

On the other hand, how much money does your typical grinder take in from people who "had to call because I have a BBJ hand"?

I don't know, and I suspect no one else really does either because how would you measure this? But, I do know that such added calls pad my win rate.

Not true about needing to post in all AC games. At Harrah's and Bally's, there is no posting for NL games. I'm not sure about the limit ones, but I think that there is. I know that the other poker rooms vary on all of this, but can't remember particulars.

That's not true. At the Showboat and Caesars, at least, you don't have to post. Caesars used to require posting, now they don't. I don't think it's a rule governed by the Casino Commission in NJ.
