Hey guys - How often does 5/10 NL go? Do they get multiple tables? Long wait? Does the game get deep or are guys generaly short stacking? Thanks for your help - I read through the last month of posts and had a tough time geting a clear picture of the room - 4 hour drive for me so wanted to get the lay of the land before coming down.

There is never a time you will find 2 or more 5/10 NLHE tables at the sands. It usually only runs a couple of Saturdays here and there. I personally only saw it spread there 3 times. Your best bet is to call the call center first to see if it is running before you make that kind of trip. As far as stack sizes, I only know the buy ins are from 500 to 1500. I do not know how deep the stacks get when it runs awhile. Hope this is a help.

Not to often. I haven't been there in a few weeks but I'm pretty sure the 5/5NL 1K buyin runs daily.

$5/5 runs daily, $5/10 mainly on the weekends. The game runs very deep. Very few short stacks and usually about $20k on the table. sometimes much more.

Playing 1-2NL last week next to a 5-5 table . Guy at the 5-5 runs it up to about $7,000 and in 4 hrs is busted out and goes home. That is a big swing for any local PA player.

The Taj just added (not sure how long it will last, or work) Omaha tournies every Fri, Sat, and Sun. I hope Sands consider Omaha when they start tournies.

Doubtful... they can barely get a steady omaha cash table going.

Yeah, I don't see Omaha tourneys taking off at the sands. Am curious to see how the NL tourneys turn out when they get those going.

Anyone going to play O8 tonight? I just called there and there are 5 on list. The NLHE is not insane either so they should have room to open a O8 table. This is my first time going here in about 2 weeks which is a long time considering I used to go about 2-3 times a week. Hopefully I do not get annoyed tonight here or next break will be longer than 2 weeks. Hopefully some of you O8ers will come tonight to get the game started.

Played Friday night. The place was busy, but not as hectic as Saturdays. A bunch of 1/2, few 2/5 & 2 5/5 tables. They called the o8 5/10 a few times but don't know if it got off.

The game was pretty slow and I pushed much of the action which is standard for me. However, I played really lousy & slightly unlucky. I got value bet half a dozen times after telling myself each time to fold. Of course I was correct everyone of those times to donate X amount of poker dollars.

Slightly unlucky in that I lost a 1200 pot with 89 on a 710J to 89ss

Later I lost with an open ended straight flush draw to 2nd pair getting it in on the flop and guy had 2nd pair for a 900 pot.

Finally I lost with AK to 910 when he made 2pair on the turn in a pot that I play very bad.

Anyway ended up losing 1k in poker 400 in craps and 800 in blackjack for a -2200 trip. This was the first time in a while where I was never up a dollar for the trip. Sucks. Anyone else there this weekend?

Room busy this weekend? Was at Borgata this weekend, just got home, but will likely head over to sands on Sunday.

Got there at about 5:30 pm today- played 1-2 NL until 10:30

-Lists for every game - 16 on 1-2 NL list - cleared in 20 minutes
-10-25NL almost went around 6 pm - 1 player short
-BBJ hit around 8 pm - $150K - 8 players at table
-New chairs really bug me - they don't rise up as far as old chairs!!
-I witnessed 4 players go all in tonight at the same time - never saw that before.
-Latest rumor is that poker room will expand when hotel opens possibly in Cobalt

3-6 limit table, I think I heard it was a straight flush over quads.

I thought those chairs seemed lower than usual, they drive me nuts!

Did not hear about another expansion, any rumors they might build walls around the room, or just build a new room? The outside noise of the slots and music is really distracting in a poker "room", the smoke sucks too. It's really a well ran room with a good player base, just wish they would make it into it's own space, and then it would be just about perfect.

Congratulations on the BBJ windfall. I got a table share of a BBJ you dealt in a 3/6 LHE game the first week of poker at the Sands. I always enjoy having you deal at my table when I play at the Sands because you keep the game moving.
