never seen so much limping in my life, limp with any big pairs, limp with Q2 suited ect. I just started making em pay to see flops rather take down a small pot then some one busting me cause it was suited catching it on the river.

Lot of weak passive players at 1/2 at the Sands. There is almost no raise that will clear the table and get you heads up typically. Only about 10x will accomplish that regularly at the 1/2.

One thing I can say though, is that the physical tells are all over the place here among about 80% of the players. My top 5, usually cover 80% of the hands I am in. In about 20% of the hands people actually look at the board and shake their head and sigh on missed draws. I have even had good success just counting out a bet or a raise and having people muck before I bet.

Tell me about a live 1/2 game that doesn't involve half the table limping and calling $12-15 raises? That's just standard live donkery. Exactly like every time I've played in Vegas, CT, and AC.

The Sands is like any other poker room I've ever been to - there's the same amount of lagtards, rocks, newbies, and wanna-bes. I just hope the money circulates well and stays in the area for a while.

I think poker is here to stay at the Sands. They have enough people in the area to keep it going.

How many of you 2+2ers would like to get a O8 5/10 game going tonight?
I plan on being there around 7 and would like to get one going, let me know if you can make it. If we get 4 from on here, there is usually 3 regs there daily that will play making it a table they will open. Want to play, but just not in mood for the hold'em donkfest.

Does any1 know if u can get loke a deposit box at the casino. I will be going almost everyday and dont want to carry cash on me

Deposit box, lol. Just take what you can afford to lose and leave the rest at home. Never take more with you than you are comfortable to lose. There is no need for a deposit box.

This is such bad logic on so many levels...

Exactly how much cash are you worried about? The casino is extremely safe with security readily available to walk you to your car. Walking around safely with up to $5,0000 is a no brainer.

That gets you back to the car safe..with a box you only need to carry a lot of money to the casino the one time and will not have to worry about it again for a while.

Well if im going everday i dont want to go to the bank to take out a couple thousand to play 5-10 everyday. Plus i go to school at lehigh and bethlehem isnt the best place to be with cash in pocket... Which is why im asking if there is such a thing as a deposit box

O8 ran last night from 8-2AM. Floor was very good in getting it started. Once there was 7 names of interest they called the players and opened it up, they also periodically announced it was going drawing some other players over. It should run again tonight around 7PM for those interested. On a side note, I asked a dealer last night about the safety deposit box question and he said there is not any lockers or such things available at sands to his knowledge. Also lucky, there is rarely ever a 5/10 NLHE game running. There is a 5/5 w/ 300-1000 buy in running often, but only saw a 5/10 running a couple occasions on Friday and Saturday nights here and there.

i don't think you need to defend yourself. walking around with thousands of dollars is not something i would want to do, for fear of losing it if nothing worse. if they have deposit boxes and you go often, use it. it's convenient, safe. makes sense. gl.

If possible can the omaha8 regs post when they can make it to get a game going. That way there would be enough of us to get the game going. Perhaps we could get a regular weekly schedule going.

I'm available to make the trip on Monday thru Thursday (usually by 7:15pm) and Sunday (8pm).

I can usually play 2-3 times per week with Tuesday and Wednesday as the easiest nights for me.

Espo, send me an IM when you are interested in going. There will be an O8 game tonight starting 7PM. I know that 5 of the players from last night will be there again tonight unless something unforeseen came up.

I wish the Sands would add a giant projector screen above the food court on the wall displaying the wait list or at least have a big screen somewhere high on a wall. Now that they have the new tables they have that stupid barrier right in front of one of the wait list screens where typically a ton of ppl are crowded playing video blackjack and the barrier forces you to look at the screen 3 feet in front of it or closer.

On a side note I always though that poker room manager..already forgot his name looks like the father from the movie Big Fish.

Does not compute.

I will be there today to play O8. Hopefully we will get enough to get it going. It rarely goes on a Tuesday night unfortunately, but maybe we can get it underway. Good luck tonight Lucky3, watch your tells since you are now playing a live game compared to online, I will see if I can find you to see how you are making out.
