(As an aside, I am also curious about Parkwest Casino Sonoma/when it is reopening - I have never played there).

But super stoked (again) to hear about Casino Matrix and Pete’s 881 Club!!!

M8trix is open indoors with plexiglass and spreads 1-2-3 and 2-3-5. They seem to have fewer tables than bay101, which is still in the tent and doesn’t have 1-2-3 (which has rake that’s probably close to unbeatable anyway), but does have a fair amount of limit tables, and usually will get a deepstack/mandatory straddle 2/3/5 game. Bay101 seems to have better list wait times but also won’t allow you to table change (supposedly because of COVID), and it’s easy to get stuck at a bad table

Do you mean the rake at Bay 101 and/or Matrix, or do you mean 1-2-3 in general?

And thank you for the post/information.

I’ve heard about this place (Ace and Vine) - it sounds awesome, I haven’t been yet, but would love to check it out. Do they get much no limit?

M8trix and bay101 both drop $6 on the flop no matter what. That's beatable if your 2-3-5 game is decent but your game would have to be unusually good for that to be viable, i think

Played several times in weekday afternoon and the rake seems like a non-issue with people just dumping loads of money onto the table.

All they run is 2/3 NL most of the time. Usually 1 game on weekdays, and 2 games on Fri/Sat nights. Games are full of action, they allow straddles for up to half you stack from any position, and matching of the biggest stacks. They just have 2 tables, and are still on a probation period before they are allowed to go 24 hours, in about 2 more months I think. Beautiful restaurant with a full bar next to the cardroom.

Okay, but that’s not 1-2-3 . . . (just confused because I thought that’s what you initially posted about/what I asked about)

Thanks, peace and love

I'm pretty sure the rake is the same at 1/2/3. Was saying it's beatable for 2/3/5 but probably not for 1/2/3

Not an official answer, but as case counts are continuing to go down, the state is scheduled to lift statewide mandates on June 15th. Individual counties will vary, and I do not know what Alameda County department of public health has in mind.

At 25% capacity, the Oaks is only keeping seven poker tables running, and they are prioritizing hold'em, I would guess because that's what keeps the lists shortest.

Gotcha, thank you.

Alameda County seems to take its sweet a** time so I’m not holding my breath.
