Re: San Francisco, CA Bay Area

Bottom line - I think I remember reading here in the forum that the San Jose ballot increased the tax rate on Casino Matrix with the understanding/trade off that they would be allowed to increase the number of poker tables. Now that they are apparently not allowed to increase the number of poker tables, they should not be taxed at the higher rate! How is that fair? Come on, San Jose - show Casino Matrix some respect! It’s an amazing place, with a great atmosphere/environment! I’ve always enjoyed playing there! I think that’s why there’s no poker there right now! They’re angry about what I just described! It’s their way of protesting!

It might simply be that they make more money from pai gow, California blackjack, and double-hand table games.

It also bothers me how much some places stink/smell bad (i.e. Oaks). How about a little respect for your establishment? I guess it gets back to the original point, not caring about customer service

I donít think thatís true. They had the same number of those tables before they got rid of the poker tables. Seeing it as an either/or situation seems like a false dichotomy. But this past year/year and a half has taught me - what do I know about the world/how it works/what seems logical? Stupidity seems to reign supreme.

And by the way, talk about problem gambling. It would be those games.
